The school holidays are coming up for both local and international schools here in Singers… just think of that huge expanse of time, of what your minis can get up to! Avoid cabin fever and get them signed up to some holiday camps to keep them busy and not bouncing off the ceilings at home. Get them out of the mall and instead learning about the world: from coding and science to dance and theatre, there’s plenty to get them involved in! Keep checking back for updates on December (Christmas) holiday camps for school kids.
Got a little one interested in coding? Saturday Kids has some holiday camps to get your munchkin ‘coding to learn’ rather than ‘learning to code’. With so much importance on digital literacy in the modern age, kiddos aged five to 14 will enjoy the range of programmes. There’s Marvelous Machines and Mechanisms, where they’ll learn to create 3D shapes, structures, bridges and towers and power them up with code – perfect for budding young engineers! Then there’s App Architects: Design and Code Your Mobile App, great for tweens to learn how to build the all-important app, plus Curious Cubs, designed for preschoolers to explore the wonders of tech through a series of immersive experiences.
Prefer to drop in instead? Check out Saturday Kids’ two-hour project-based workshops instead, Explorer Pass. Junior explorers will get to apply their knowledge of Scratch to a vast selection of themed creative coding projects, such as animals, the environment, art and music, outer space and more.
