If you are looking for a dance class for your toddlers and small kids here in Singapore then you’re in luck. We’ve already covered the best playgroups for your toddler to join, and we know where the best classes for babies are at, but how about getting your little one into a dance and movement class? There are dozens of dance classes for older kids in Singapore (and we’ve found classes we think boys will especially love too), but the good news is that we’ve also found dance schools all over the island for kids under three! We’ve found fab drop off options and fun classes where mummy or daddy can learn a dance move too.
A particularly great spot for East Coast mums, we’re totally up for taking tutu-wearing littlies to the Ballet Tots parent participation class. Here, toddlers from 2.5 years will be introduced to basic ballet steps using imaginative stories and props – and mum can join too! Classes involve magic wands, spells, butterflies, ponies and fairytale elements to inspire a love for dance from a young age, and the little ones will love the special fairy dance at the end of each class. Beginner ballet drop-off classes start from 3.5 years and are based on the Royal Academy of Dance pre-school syllabus.

Dance at the Difference
When it comes to finding dance lessons for little ones where class sizes are not too daunting, and a low teacher-to-child ratio is the name of the game, we’ve found just the place… Dance at the Difference! We recently checked it out for ourselves and crowned this super duper boutique dance studio as our Find of the Week! It runs fun-packed parent-and-child classes for tiny tots from seven months to five years, and then some pretty cool drop-off picks for older kids age five to seven years, including tap dancing, ballet and hip hop. Psst: it also runs some pretty cool classes for grownups which are not only great for getting fit, but are a great way to meet new friends while having a ton of fun. Win, win.
