We’re coming up to the end of June, people! We’re getting those holiday plans in and last minute getaways booked. Make the last two weeks of June holidays in Singapore count! Children’s Festival is officially in full swing so a spot of museum-hopping wouldn’t be remiss, but if you’re still stumped on activities, here’s what we’re excited about this week…
1. Snuggle up with a good book
The weather has been absolutely dismal lately so we’ve been ducking indoors to some of our favourite libraries to catch up on mum reads while the kids get into some picture books.
2. Catch em all at the Pokemon Carnival
Round up the fam and go Pokemon hunting at Palawan Green for games, meet and greets and movie screenings. Featuring over 400 Alola region Pokemon, fans young and old are sure to have a blast checking out all the inflatables and watching the cutest Pikachu parade!
3. Have some free carnival fun
We checked out the free family carnival happening at Gardens by the Bay Children’s Festival and though we missed out on the Marble Run, we got to see Woody and Buzz as well as try out the carnival games. There’s a rotating line-up of fringe activities, workshops and stage performances happening until 30 June and we’re super looking forward to getting our hands dirty at the slime-filled Transporta adventure. Sticking around past sunset? Catch the special Toy Story Garden Rhapsody light show for an awesome nostalgia kick.
4. Catch Toy Story 4 in theatres
Speaking of a Toy Story-themed Children’s Festival, we’re hyped for the actual blockbuster movie, Toy Story 4 coming out in theatres this Thursday! Grab the kids and the popcorn and make it a family movie night out.
5. Check out Kiztopia
There’s a brand new play centre in Singapore and the kids are all over it. Fitted with 18 play areas including slides, ball pits, pretend play, a train ride, bouncy castle and trampolines, you can just the kids loose and they’ll wear out their batteries all on their own. Meanwhile, you’ll get to unwind in the onsite cafe or join in the fun! Don’t forget your socks…
