Besides Disney, Pokémon is another media mix franchise that everyone loves. The Japanese brand, an abbreviation of Pocket Monsters, was created in 1996. The franchise began as a video game before branching into other media. Fun fact – currently, there are over 900 Pokémon species. With so much Pokémon merch available, where does one start? We’ve compiled this guide on where you can catch ’em all in Singapore.
Where to catch Pokémon in Singapore
1. Singapore Cable Car

Love the Singapore Cable Car and Pokémon? We have good news – from 1 May to 30 September, the Singapore Cable Car will be getting a revamp with super-cool Pokémon-themed cabins (67, to be precise!). It’s not just the outside either; nope, you can also take your pick from five unique interior designs, each one inspired by first-generation Pokémon characters like the beloved Pikachu and Eevee, as well as the latest video game stars, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
2. City Square Mall
No time to visit the library? That’s okay – just set some time to check out a pop-up Manga Library at Level 4 of City Square Mall. There are over 5,000 manga books that you can borrow, including Pokémon Adventures RGB, which is donated by Japanese publisher Shogakukan Asia. The publisher will donate more copies as more titles in the manga series are published. This pop-up runs for six months, starting from 20 Feb.
3. Beyond The Vines

This beloved homegrown label released a Pokémon-themed collection which features Eevee, Jigglypuff, Mew, Charizard, Gengar, and of course, Pikachu. There are t-shirts, caps, bucket hats, and carryalls to purchase, though most familiar with this brand will go straight for the iconic dumpling bag. Kids can also get their hands on some items, though most seem to have sold out. Shop this collection at BTV’s flagship store or online.
4. Samsung Singapore

Look who’s joined the Poké-mania! Samsung Singapore has themed accessories for its Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and Galaxy Watch5 Series. The collection features the iconic red and white Poké Ball and Generation 1 characters you know and love. We’re most excited about the Galaxy Buds2Pro earbuds cover – it resembles an actual Poké Ball! The accessories are available exclusively through Samsung Online Store and Samsung Experience Stores now.
5. Osim Singapore

Imagine Pokémon giving you a cuddly massage. Yes, that’s possible, all thanks to Osim Singapore! 6. Puma

Calling all trainers (pun truly intended) – Puma and Pokémon have released their first-ever collaboration! The collection features five cool kicks, hoodies, tees, sweatpants, bags, and caps. Psst, we reckon the backpack (which comes in two colours) and messenger bag would make great birthday gifts. If you prefer showing off your Pokémon love, get the sneakers. They come in snazzy colours and awesome details showcasing various characters. You can also get your hands on this collection at Foot Locker.
7. Skechers

You know what they say about shoes – if it fits, wear them! Last year, Skechers launched its Foamies collection, which prominently features five characters. (The Foamies has expanded to include kids’ sizes now!) The footwear company is back at it again, this time featuring the adorable pocket monsters on its DD’Lites4.0 series. The newest collection is available in both men’s and women’s sizes.
8. Scoot

Why catch a flight on a regular aeroplane when you can take off on the Pikachu Jet? In celebration of Scoot’s 10th anniversary, the carrier introduced the Pokémon Air Adventures, which features exclusive livery and themed in-flight experience. 9. Owndays

If you need to wear prescription glasses but don’t want to settle for the norm, Owndays has just the thing. The Japanese brand has released its range of stylish spectacle frames that feature eight legendary characters. We love the little details adorning each frame – the Squirtle version has two turtle-shell tessellations on each temple. How cool is that! If you’re a Pikachu fan, there are two awesome frames to choose from. Or why not just get them both? Catch ’em all! 10. Pilot Pen
