There are so many things to do with the kids in Singapore – from indoor playgrounds to water play areas, the kiddos are spoilt for choice! But what about places to reconnect with nature that are also easy enough for the little ones to conquer? Bonus points if it’s stroller-friendly and wheelchair-friendly, for some multi-generational family bonding! Take the fam to one of these family-friendly boardwalks in Singapore to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Best stroller-friendly boardwalks in Singapore
1. NEW: Keppel Coastal Trail Boardwalk

The Keppel Coastal Trail is a newly opened nature trail at Labrador Nature Reserve that was made available to the public on 25 Jan 2025. While the entire 340-metre trail may be challenging for the younger ones, the 90-metre elevated boardwalk should be easy enough! Take in the beautiful views of the sea and observe nature in action while taking a leisurely stroll. Plus, this boardwalk is wheelchair and stroller-friendly so it’s perfect for your next family weekend trip.

2. Bukit Chermin Boardwalk

Part of the Labrador Nature Reserve and connected to Berlayer Creek, this coastal boardwalk allows you to spot schools of fish during high tide and observe the seagrass beds and marine life on the mudflats during low tide. Plus, you’ll be able to get a good view of Keppel Harbour and Sentosa Island!

3. NEW: Mandai Boardwalk near Singapore Zoo and River Wonders
Are the little ones curious about wildlife? The Mandai Boardwalk has a wide variety of animals to spot along the way, including the chance to even spot giraffes from the Singapore Zoo! This one is rather long, spanning 3.3km so bring the pram for when the kiddos get tired. That’s right, this family-friendly boardwalk is also wheelchair and pram-friendly making the distance less daunting (maybe not for Mummy and Daddy though). 4. Punggol Promenade Punggol Point Walk boardwalk

Located near the recently completed Punggol Point Cove BTO project, this boardwalk in Singapore has breathtaking views of the sea and is connected to Coney Island Park! While relatively short, this boardwalk is an easy and calming one if you want to take a leisurely stroll amidst the sounds of lapping waves. Plus, there are several playgrounds in the area if your kids want to play so it’s a great place to check out if you’re in the neighbourhood!

5. MacRitchie Boardwalks

MacRitchie Reservoir Park is home to a 20km network of trails and boardwalks! Focus on the Prunus Trail, Petai Trail, Chemperai Boardwalk and Jering Boardwalk to stay on the boardwalks for the best stroller and wheelchair access. The Chemperai Boardwalk and Jering Boardwalk lets you walk along the water’s edge!

6. Rower’s Bay Park boardwalk

Rower’s Bay Park in Seletar is part of the Round Island Route features a boardwalk overlooking the reservoir and wetlands, with a lookout pavilion and plenty of space for the whole family! Try to spot native wildlife in the area, including the grey heron and copper-cheeked frog. Amenities along this boardwalk include shelters, a toilet and F&B vending machines.

7. Sisters’ Islands Marine Park Boardwalk

Have you heard of the Sisters’ Islands? Accessible by ferry from Marina South Pier, they’re home to Singapore’s first marine park and floating boardwalk! This boardwalk doubles as a coral habitat and research site that rises and falls with the tides. It’s a great opportunity for the whole fam to get up close and personal view of corals and marine biodiversity. There are also several openings along the boardwalk called moon pools that are used by researchers to study corals and other marine life – there are chains around them to prevent any accidents but keep an eye on the little ones just in case.

8. Chek Jawa Boardwalk

The Chek Jawa Boardwalk in Pulau Ubin has two different routes: the Coastal Loop (600 metres) and Mangrove Loop (500 metres) and both boardwalks take roughly an hour and a half to complete. Located at the eastern end of Pulau Ubin, both routes are great for spotting wildlife and soaking up the beauty of nature. There are also lookout platforms, a floating pontoon, and shelters along the routes if you or the kids need a break. If they’re feeling adventurous, they can try climbing the seven-storey high Jejawi Tower that offers an unobstructed view of the tree canopy and the waters surrounding the island. Just make sure to pack bug repellant and sunscreen – you’ll probably need it!

9. Changi Point Coastal Walk boardwalk

Changi Point Coastal Walk is made up of six different boardwalks, each with a different view and point of interest! You start of with Creek Walk near Changi Ferry Terminal, where you can spot boats travelling to and fro from Pulau Ubin as well as the Civil Service Club’s Changi Clubhouse that’s rich in history. Next up is Beach Walk, and as its name implies is located beside the beach – perfect for a leisurely stroll along the coastline. Right after is Sailing Point Walk where you can catch glimpses of sailboats and yachts! The next section offers some shade in the form of lush greenery – the Cliff Walk will have you feeling like you’re in a forest. Kelong Walk takes you right into the sea with a boardwalk built on stilts where you can really enjoy the sights and sounds of the water. Last but not least, you’ll want to head to Sunset Walk before nightfall to catch a splendid view of the sunset at the western end of Changi Point and end the day off with a bang!

10. Pasir Ris Park Mangrove Boardwalk

Pasir Ris has more to offer than just a massive playground and a beach – explore their mangrove forest via the Pasir Ris Park Mangrove Boardwalk! See if you can spot some of the interesting animals that reside here like the Giant Mudskipper, Mud Lobster, or Telescope Snail. Or take to the skies by climbing the three-story birdwatching tower for a chance to spot the White-collared Kingfisher or Black-naped Oriole. While this trail is a total of 1.5km, it is wheelchair and pram-friendly so make sure to bring the fam along!

11. Fort Siloso Skywalk

If the kiddos aren’t afraid of heights, the Fort Siloso Skywalk offers a picturesque view of Sentosa and the luscious treetops in the area. This 181-metre boardwalk elevated 11 storeys high will make for a fun full-day adventure with other attractions on the island!

12. Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve boardwalk

The Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve offers several family-friendly boardwalks like the Coastal Trail, the Forest Trail, and the Mid-canopy Walk. The Coastal Trail has various scenic spots like the Eagle Point or Kingfisher Pod while the Forest Trail and Mid-canopy Walk immerse you in the forest amongst wildlife – try and spot birds like the Pied Fantail and insects such as cicadas!
