Rainforest Wild Asia is finally opening this March 2025! With 10 rainforest-themed zones, a tiger habitat, and adventure activities including a 20m-high Canopy Jump and a 7m-high play area, here's everything you need to know about Mandai Wildlife Reserve's fifth wildlife park!
The launch of Rainforest Wild Asia on 12 March 2025 is high on our list of new things we are most excited for in Singapore this year! From March 2025, Singapore’s fifth and newest zoological park located near to Singapore Zoo and Bird Paradise will showcase different adventure courses inspired by treks through real rainforests. Expect to see Malayan tigers on the prowl in this park’s largest animal habitat, along with sun bears, tapirs and langurs roaming through some of the most extensive habitats seen in Singapore yet!
Adventure is the theme here – adrenaline junkies can even leap from a 20-metre-high canopy jump. Explore the different layers of the rainforest, wandering high up through tree canopies down to a labyrinth of walk-in cave chambers. Everyone is welcome from thrill seekers to multi-generational families (and even bubs in strollers!). Here’s everything we know so far about Rainforest Wild Asia.
Location, parking and getting to Rainforest Wild Asia
Rainforest Wild Asia is the fifth and newest zoological park in Singapore and stretches over 13 hectares within Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Head to Mandai Wildlife WEST, 20 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729825 to enter. To reach Mandai Wildlife Reserve, check the getting around page for info on the Shuttle bus from Khatib MRT ($2.50 per person), the Mandai City Express bus pick up locations ($8 per person), and where to park bicycles on site. If you’re driving, head to Carpark 1, near Bird Paradise, for the easiest access to Rainforest Wild Asia. Parking rates are set at a maximum of $10 per visit.
Rainforest Wild Asia opening hours and ticket pricing
The opening date for Rainforest Wild Asia is 12 March 2025, and will open daily from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Ticket prices are set at $33/adult, $21/child 3-12yo (local residents) $43/adult, $31/child 3-12yo for tourists. Adventure Plus activities like the Canopy Jump are at an extra cost (see below!) Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but we’ll be letting you know as soon as they are. You can also download the Mandai app or become a Friends of Wildlife member for the inside scoop.
Food and beverage outlets at Rainforest Wild Asia
We are waiting to see what F&B is on offer inside the Rainforest Wild Asia park, however there are some outlets available in the public access areas at Mandai Wildlife West. These include a Starbucks, Collins, A&W Restaurants, Old Chang Kee Coffee House, and a gelato shop, among others. It’s always wise to pack your own snacks (humans only, never feed the animals), and water bottles (along with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent).

What we do know is that the park is home to Singapore’s first cave-themed dining experience. Managed by Tung Lok Group, the Cavern Restaurant is the last stop of the Cavern Chambers (read more below), but it is also accessible for everyone to dine in. Enter through the gift shop to reach the restaurant directly, without a park ticket! Come after 6pm for free parking!
The dark and mysterious environment makes it fun for the imagination – like playing “I spy with my little eye” with the kids. And it does make for a romantic night out too! Food portions are big and made for sharing, some standout dishes include the hearty Caveman’s Skewer ($38++) and the gelatinous Ironstrike Pork Knuckles ($28++). We recommend starters like the refreshingly moreish Emerald Canopy ($12++) , romaine lettuce drenched with a tangy yoghurt dressing and Crystal Cave Salad ($22++) which features a creamy burrata drizzled over with truffle honey. Vegetarian options include a cauliflower steak in the Smouldering Core ($18++) and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka ($22++). The 4 items on the kids menu include all-time kids’ favourites like Spaghetti, bangers and mash, chicken karaage, and fish and chips – all priced at $12++ each. Comes with a fruit bowl too!
Round the meal with desserts like the Durian ice cream with durian puree ($12++) and the crowd-favourite, Pandan Bambolini ($6++ per pc). Among the cocktails, we love the ‘Sng Buey” Lime Margarita ($18++) and the Jungle Coconut Mango ($22++) served in a coconut for their tropical vibes. Check out the vibes on our Instagram .
Two routes for getting around Rainforest Wild Asia: Elevated Walkway and Forest Trek

Rainforest Wild Asia offers inclusive options for exploring the park! The Elevated Walkway offers a leisurely route for universal access, while the Forest Trek is a rugged route exploring the park that incorporates trekking through the forest floor, river crossings and navigating across streams via logs and boulders.
Themed zones at Rainforest Wild Asia
The Karsts

Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife hidden among the trees and foliage of the The Karsts. Here, jagged limestone formations peek through the canopy, creating one of the park’s most scenic backdrops, perfect for photo opps! This is where you can see the primates of Rainforest Wild Asia as they swing through the trees and leap through the branches while traversing through this treetop habitat. Feeling brave? Have a go at manoeuvring across the sheer cliffs along a ferrata path (under a guided tour – extra cost).
The Cavern

The striking Cavern chambers are inspired by the world-famous Mulu Caves in Sarawak. One of the largest and most intricate cave systems in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ancient rock formations that took millions of years to form have been recreated here for us to explore! Little ones can take the path along the safe and engaging subterranean walkways. The more adventurous can explore the side paths to seek out cave species including Racer snakes and Giant black scorpions.
Rock Cascade

Looking for endangered Malayan tigers? Pay a visit to the Rock Cascade, the largest animal habitat in Rainforest Wild Asia. This is where you can watch these majestic big cats show off their power and agility as they navigate the waterfalls, streams, rocky outcrops and clusters of trees in their newly established habitat. You might even catch them going for a swim!
Adventure Plus activities at Rainforest Wild Asia
Rainforest Wild Asia is all about adventure! Conquer your fear of heights and step off a 20-metre-high platform at the Canopy Jump, climb the nets and challenge yourself at the Arboreal Plunge play area (complete with a giant slide), or explore the caves by the dim light of a head lamp to come face to face with creepy critters over a glass platform. Sounds wild!
Canopy Jump: 13m and 20m-high free fall

Not for the faint hearted! This is the most exciting adventure activity at Rainforest Wild Asia, where you can literally take flight like one of the many birds you see here, at the Canopy Jump. Step off either a 13-metre-high, or if you’re really brave, a 20-metre-high platform, and experience the exhilarating rush of a free fall! Experience a gradual descent, while you take in what must be one of the most dazzling views of the park available, as you soar over the rainforest. Note: Minimum height requirements apply. Extra cost is $30 for 20mins of playtime.
AIA Vitality Bounce: 7-metre high play area with a climbing net and giant slide

This one is for the adventurous, high energy kiddos out there! If you’re looking for adventure, but at a more leisurely pace than the Canopy Jump, head to the Arboreal Plunge. This open sky bouncing play area is 7 metres above the ground! Bounce around three fun zones, and try your hand at navigating the climbing net. Best bit: Take the plunge down a 9-metre long slide! The kiddos will feel like they are real life monkeys, surrounded by the lush forest canopy. It might be hard to get them to leave this area! Note: Minimum height requirements apply, and there is an extra cost of $15 for 20mins of playtime.
Critter Crawl: Explore a 60m-long cave tunnel
If you don’t like creepy-crawlies, prepare to face your fears at the Critter Crawl. Gear up for a walk through the dark and tight confines of a rainforest cave, and see insects and reptiles up close in their habitat. Using only the dim light from a headlamp, navigate a 60-metre-long cave tunnel and see impressive rock formations and fossil imprints. We are very nervous about the glass floor panel, which lets you get up close to Rainforest Wild Asia’s hissing cockroaches!
Wild Cavern Adventure

Go on a simulated cave expedition, from abseiling in the dark to squeezing through tight spaces, navigating boulder fields, and exploring narrow tunnels! You’ll also get to learn about fascinating speleothems. This is a 3 hour guided tour, priced at an extra cost from $172/person.
Wild Apex Adventure

If abseiling down cliff faces, climbing tight ladders up rocky outcrops, and adrenaline pumping adventure is your thing, then you’ll want to sign up for the Wild Apex Adventure. This is a 3 hour long guided tour at an additional cost. Wear active wear and closed shows, as you’ll be manoeuvring across the sheer cliffs along a ferrata path and getting up close to the langurs in their exhibit!
