We’re all excited for Singapore’s National Day on 9 August, especially the fireworks show, all the fantastic feasts and National Day events on the day. But it’s not time to celebrate yet, there’s still one more weekend to go and we’re keeping it busy with durian buffets, pillow fights and cake to keep us going.
Enjoy an all-you-can-eat durian buffet
Calling all durian lovers! Tuck into a free flow of creamy Mao Shan wang durians at this picnic under the stars. Bring your picnic mats and the kids and enjoy live music to finish off this durian season with a bang!

Set a record with this doggy donation drive
Bring your kids and furkids along to this doggy donation and adoption drive. Dogs will be given SG53 bandanas to set a record for the largest number of dogs wearing bandanas. There will be vet talks, health screening, dog training tips, grooming services, an obstacle course and the chance to prove your dog is the best dog ever at the fashion and instagram contests!

Cake your weekend with fun
Every weekend until the 26 August, browse and buy cakes from a rotating selection at the pop-up Cake Bar along with fresh brewed tea courtesy of The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. Professional bakers and secret home bakers alike can batter up to the dessert studio for workshops while the kids enjoy stage performances like Dear Zoo, art and craft activities, and of course, cake – need we say any more?

Take part in a Singapore-Swiss celebration

Head to a multi-dimensional interactive theatre
Heads up! Tales of Grimmsneyland is here. Presented by AndSoForth Jr, hang on tight for the lil’ ones to be transported into a magical world of fairy tales, accompanied by their very own fairy guide. They’ll traverse magic portals, play on a secret slide and even “meet” a fairy godmother alongside art and performance programmes, all based on Grimmsneyland, of course!

Pop over to this playground for kids and adults
Let your inner child run free at the Keepers Playground of Infinite Happiness. Take the kids to the National Design Centre and explore five whole levels where you can play, shop, attend workshops and don’t forget to check out secret level five: there’s an indoor playground even you can play in!

Take part in a pillow fight
Relive your sleepover days with the first ever Pillow Fight Games at the Singapore Sports Hub. Based on the Japanese pillow fight game, contestants throw pillows to knock their opponents out of bounds. Grab your friends and family and team up to compete for prizes. Don’t forget to come dressed in Singapore’s national colours to stand a chance for best dressed team!

Jazz up to Japan Park
Get to know all things Japan at Japan Park and learn about Japan’s 47 prefectures through booths on culture, food, entertainment and lifestyle. Find out why Japan is on everyone’s travel bucket list, try Japanese cuisine and watch special curated performances. If the kids are up to the challenge, they can head to the kids sport section and see who can score the highest on the physical test and take part in a mini football game.

Jam to esports and music
Here’s one for the teens: Hyperplay is bringing together the first ASEAN League of Legends competition and top musical acts from around the globe. Get ready to jam out to live performances from artists like Alessia Cara, Nick Jonas, CL, and The Sam Willows. Tickets have all been redeemed but there will be limited tickets available at the door.
