From raising feminists to raising a kid as a two dad family in Singapore, we’ve been chatting to cool mums and dads from all corners of the Little Red Dot! Grab a coffee and take a listen…
Our Growing Pains Podcast is finally here! That’s right, after six months of work behind the scenes, we’re super excited to be launching our first ever podcast – hooray! Join our lovely hosts, mum-of-one Sam and mum-of-two Ange, as they get the lowdown on all the hottest parenting topics in Singapore. Here’s what’s in store…
Episode 1: How to raise our children to be feminists (boys included!) with Ramita Anand
We speak to Ramita Anand, who heads up Elevate.RA – an organisation focused on recognising, celebrating and developing our daughter’s superpowers. Mum-of-two Ramita gives us the lowdown on how we can tackle gender stereotypes, have those important conversations with girls (and boys!) about feminism, and what the deal is on gender equality right here in Singapore.
Episode 2: Unpopular Parenting Opinions with Jill Kim (Part 1)
HoneyKids regular and Kiss92 DJ, Jill Lim, isn’t afraid to share her take on exactly what she thinks of parenting approaches. In this episode, we discuss everything from screen time and phone usage to cry it out sleep training methods.
Episode 3: Unpopular Parenting Opinions with Jill Lim (Part 2)
Would you give your in-laws keys to your house? In this follow up episode, Jill Lim gives us her verdict on a whole host of more unpopular parenting opinions. From whether it’s ok to call out your kids’ bad behaviour through to what the right role for your helper is when it comes to childcare in Singapore.
Episode 4: Life as a same-sex parent family in Singapore with Andre and Cam
We chat with Double Dads, Andre and Cam, to find out what it’s like raising their son Tyler in Singapore. From finding out about Singapore’s community of other double dad families, to what more needs to be done when it comes to acceptance, plus they spill the beans on their parenting highs (and lows!).
