Heading into its four edition, the Cluny Court Christmas Fair’s set to be a family winner when it comes to Xmas market picks this year. You’ll not only pick up sleigh-loads of toys, tableware, Xmas munchies, Christmas trees and festive decor, but Santa will be hanging out there too for meet-and-greet opps.

Those of us not lucky enough to be jetting away on holiday with the kids for Christmas were feeling resigned to just dreaming of visiting the fabulous traditional Christmas markets in Europe for our mulled wine and hog roast fix. Which is why it was merry news to our ears to learn that there is a European-style festive market popping up at the Christmas Wonderland event at Gardens by the Bay. Hurrah: our wishes have come true! Expect all the traditional trimmings being served up from wooden huts designed to trick us into thinking we really are in Germany!

Kickstart your holiday season at Open Farm Community’s Weird Wonderful Pasar Malam. Enjoy BBQ specialities from Aux Deux Amis (one of the hottest bars and restaurants in Paris), natural wines from Drunken Farmer and drinks from Ding Dong. Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari will also be joining the fun until 9pm! Expect a selection of 30 festive gift stalls specially curated by Sunday Social. You can even take part in family-friendly craft workshops and check out a movie screening by social enterprise 4FUN all while grooving to some good ol’ house beats. Kids, dogs and reindeer welcome. The more the merrier.

If you’re into independent, local design and handmade goodies, this is one of the best markets for picking up unique gifts from fashion and homewares (merry Christmas to yooooou) and cool stuff for kids. Think terrariums, concrete planters and marble trays, fashion by local designers, unique stationery, handmade ceramics and jewellery. Public Garden hosts several markets throughout the year, but the Xmas event, which draws independent brands from around Asia, is particularly good. You WILL end up shopping for yourself!

The Expat Fairs and Winestone are hosting 2019’s Sustainable Christmas Fair, where you’ll find plenty of awesome goods and services, all which advocate sustainability and environmentally-responsible holiday season shopping. Fill your bags with fair-trade organic goodies, edible yums, statement fashion (mostly made by artisans) and heaps of eco-friendly home decor. There will also be a side-order of family activities happening, including teaching kids to grow a garden and cooking with the harvest.

If you’re on the west side of our fair isle, pop by to the Christmas fair at the Canadian International School for truckloads of jewellery, bags, home decor, homemade crafts and plenty more. The kids won’t mind shopping this one either with a slew of games, crafts, a photo booth and activities for the little ones happening.

If you’re on a search for artisan and locally-made gifts, knick-knacks and special prezzies, head on over to the third edition of Wildseed’s Festive Market. There’ll also be plenty to keep the kiddos busy, with fun workshops including terrarium building, gem soap crafting and clay jamming.

There’s a lot of Christmas magic happening over at the lower lobby of The Fullerton Hotel Ballroom, where The Christmas Glamour at The Fullerton event will be jam-packed with unique and stylish products.
