1. Visit the Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by The Bay
Christmas Wonderland returns for its seventh edition with a brand new digital twist that’ll excite elves of all ages! Expect a digital wonderland packed with interactive content and festive games galore for little and bigger peeps. You can also book tickets and head on down to Gardens by the Bay to check out the amazing Christmas lights in Supertree Grove. It’s a sure-fire way to get the whole fam in the festive mood!

2. Head to a Christmas market with the fam

3. Explore new exhibitions (and festive fun!) at Science Centre Singapore
It’s all happening at Science Centre Singapore this December. Try your luck with the Sci-sational Christmas Trail which will put littlies (and Mum’s and Dad’s!) Science knowledge to the test. You can also watch the elves busy at work painting Santa’s workshop with a splash of liquid nitrogen, yikes! Alongside festive fun, there’s the super-cool Earth Alive exhibition to explore complete with 5-metre inflatable globe installation. Struggling for last-min stocking stuffers? Make a beeline for the Curiosity Shop to get some goodies for all the fam.

4. Spend Christmas with the Minions at Universal Studios
Head over to A Universal Christmas at Sentosa where you’ll get to hang with Gru and his Merry Minions. Don’t forget to say hey to Elmo and the rest of the Sesame Street peeps, plus your furry friends from Madagascar, and Shrek and Princess Fiona. Stay ’til the evening for a glittery cityscape and the topsy turvy Christmas house light-up. Plus, try your luck at fun carnival games to win colourful souvenirs!

5. ‘Tis the Season of Rediscovery at S.E.A. Aquarium
If your littles are more into marine life, they’ll love the refreshed festive experiences at S.E.A. Aquarium. For Christmas 2020, they’ve put up a gorge Christmas tree made from upcycled crate boxes, and they’ve also organised cool festive games!

6. Festive fun at ArtScience Museum
The ArtScience Museum has got some treats in store this Christmas. For nostalgia, book your tickets to a free screening of some wintery classics, like the much-loved Adventures in Moominvalley. For Mr Santa Claus himself, head on into Future World to see the main man and his magical sleigh in action on-screen. You can bring your own Santa to life in Sketch Christmas too. With opening hours now extended on Friday and Saturday until 9pm (last entry at 8pm), there’s never been a better time to visit!
7. Learn how to be a princess at Princess Academy
Got a tot who’s obsessed with all things princess? They’ll get to fulfil their fairytale dreams at a three-day boot camp at the Andsoforth Princess Academy! Princesses-in-training will learn the ropes of etiquette, poise and craft from Cinderella, Mariah The Mermaid and The Fairy Godmother. They will also be tasked to complete royal duties like designing, decorating and painting their very own pumpkin carriage. And the highlight of it all? Turn into a real-life Cinderella by designing a princess gown and complete the transformation with a princess inspired make-up tutorial! To truly look the part, princesses will learn the waltz and be ready for the royal ball!

8. Get amongst the festive fun along Orchard Road
Get into holiday mode on Orchard Road, which is chockfull of Christmassy light fun as this year. Pose for picture-perfect moments amongst the glittering reindeer and hollies in gold, white and blue! Plus, you can share the beauty of Orchard Road with your loved ones with a virtual tour!
9. Discover the Winter Solstice Festival
The kids might know a thing or two when it comes to Christmas, but what about the Winter Solstice Festival? Celebrated as part of Chinese Singaporean culture, Winter Solstice commemorates the shortest day of the year. The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre is running a series of events online and in-person to give both kids and adults the lowdown on this celebration. From interactive, online games based on the traditional tangyuan (dumplings) meal, to in-person performances by the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra, there’s lots to explore this December.

10. Hop aboard the Orient Express
This December, journey back in time as you explore the mysterious Orient Express at Gardens by the Bay. History buffs will love all the original, intricate details on the two original 1930 train carriages and a 158-year-old locomotive. You’ll experience exactly what it’s like to be onboard this iconic train! Top tip: check out the escape room and cafe when you’re done exploring.

11. Join the Santa Run for Wishes
This year, run and do good with the Make-A-Wish Singapore’s Santa Run! This virtual run aims to accumulate 21,517km – the distance from Singapore to the North Pole, to bring Santa back to spread the festive joy. Participants will be able to contribute to the journey by submitting their distance through the 42Race application (available for download on App Store and Google Play). Choose between the 5km, 10km or 50km (accumulative) race categories for just $20 per race entry. All proceeds will go towards granting the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Do good and feel good!
12. Turn the Lights On at M Malls!
If you’re planning on doing some Christmas shopping at one of the M Malls this December, then bring the kids and make a day of it with the newly launched experiential festive game, Santa’s Sleigh Lights. This scavenger hunt-style adventure will have you searching for QR codes hidden throughout the mall. Put the clues together to help Santa fix his sleigh! That’s not all. As part of Turn the Lights On at M Malls, there are giveaways galore with e-vouchers, tote bags, and gift wrap sets available with purchases. Happy shopping!

13. Book a festive workshop at Capitol Singapore
Capitol Singapore is hosting a bumper range of kid’s festive workshops this December perfect for the whole fam. If you have a prima ballerina in the making, get them practising their pirouettes at The Nutcracker Ballet workshop. Or if your littlies are more lights, camera, action, sign them up for the all-singing, all-dancing drama workshop. Alongside performing arts, there are loads of other creative classes to keep them busy, such as making your own snow globe. Super festive fun!
