Wondering where to see Christmas lights in Singapore? Despite being a year-round sunshine city, the festive season always sees the Little Red Dot transforming into a Christmas wonderland. We’re talking gorgeous light displays accompanied by elaborately decorated Christmas trees at every shopping precinct. So, in between looking for Christmas decorations, gift shopping and hanging out with Santa, you’ll want to take some time to check out these twinkling places in Singapore where holiday lights will really ignite your yuletide spirit.
Where to see Christmas lights in Singapore: 2024 edition
1. Orchard Road Christmas light-up
And so it begins! An annual signature event since 1984, our beloved shopping stretch on Orchard Road will be decked out in twinkly lights and all manner of festive ornaments once again. Enjoy an evening stroll along the two-mile stretch, starting from Tanglin right up to Dhoby Ghaut. Check out the outdoor giant projection with augmented reality features, and enjoy outdoor festive music along the Orchard Road pedestrian mall. We’re so excited for the return of the Great Christmas Village including pop-up stores, family-friendly carnival rides and entertainment.

2. The Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza
Soak up the festive vibes at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza with lots of lights and a carnival to enjoy! Look forward to live performances by local buskers and bands, tuck into delicious bites from food trucks, try the carnival rides and games with the kids, and more. The piece de resistance here is the 14-metre-tall Mastercard Priceless Christmas Tree so make sure you snap a pic with it – and don’t miss the nightly snowfall shows!

3. Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by The Bay
One of our all-time fave Christmas lights displays has made a return this year, so we made a mega Guide to Christmas Wonderland! Just like previous years, this year’s event is another behemoth celebration at Gardens by the Bay. Plenty of things to do here: marvel at the spectacular Christmas lights and the Garden Rhapsody Light and Sound Show, have a go and do your best at the carnival games, do some shopping at the Christmas market, and snap pics inside the 50 metre long walk of lights.

4. Christmas Playtime at VivoCity with snowfall and the Hasbro Game Carnival
Over at Vivo City, the Hasbro Game Carnival has just launched. Play life-sized versions of beloved games like Monopoly, Game of Life, Twister and Hungry Hungry Hippos and stand a chance to win great prizes like Hasbro merch, shopping vouchers and even cameras. The kids will love the snowfall at 7:30pm and 8:30pm, and taking part in the Cluedo-style prize hunt!
With a dazzling 15-metre-tall tree, a trip to Vivo is well worth it this festive season! Make sure you stick around every evening as snow showers will go off at 7.30pm – kids will love this one!

5. Marina Bay Sands Christmas Light-up 2024
Head over to MBS for a breathtaking visual spectacle of floating Chanel boxes and perfume bottles made of lights at The Shoppes! An ensemble of Christmas trees dressed in fairy curtain lights, along with rows and rows of beautiful lights illuminate the integrated resort in a resplendent festive glow.

6. Tanglin Mall Merry Melodies
The snow and foam avalanche is once again happening at Tanglin Mall! The timing on weekdays is for the Avalanche (Foam): 7.30pm – 7.45pm and the Snow (Artificial Snow) from 7.45pm – 8pm. On weekends, the Avalanche (Foam) will happen at both 7.30pm – 7.45pm and 8.30pm – 8.45pm, while the Snow (Artificial Snow) will fall from 7.45pm – 8pm and 8.45pm – 9pm nightly. There are lots of other fun activities happening too, we’re just waiting for details!
7. Festive magic at Paragon Shopping Centre
To kick off the festivities, islanders can delight in spotting a beautiful Christmas tree, right at the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore. Additionally, there’s a treasure trove of shopping and entertainment surprises waiting at the mall for the entire family to enjoy. Don’t miss these photo opps – there’s an abundance of fun awaiting you!

8. Christmas at Dempsey Hill
This holiday season, the historic precinct of Dempsey Hill transforms into a magical spectacle of lights, decorations, and festive activities! One of the must-sees is the eight-metre-tall Christmas tree, set against the heritage compound and adorned with candy-cane-inspired red-and-white decorations. Plus of course, beautifully decorated trees with endless strings of fairy lights!

9. Changi Festive Village celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary
Changi Festive Village has returned, and Christmas has come early at Changi Airport! There’s so much to see and do at Terminal 3. Check out the Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland with its snowfall and meet-and-greets. Pack swimmers and head to the carnival and Cosmic HydroPark for water play. Enjoy exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with Hello Kitty and Sanrio friends at the Terminal 3 Departure Hall. You can also spend and redeem carnival tokens for the fun games!
Cosmic HydroPark is located at the Terminal 3 Coach Bay, and looks like splashing good fun. Tickets cost $19 for weekdays and $24 for weekends, with family and child bundle discounts available.

10. A Wicked themed Universal Christmas at USS
Resorts World Sentosa is once again pulling out all the stops for its Christmas extravaganza. A ticket during the festive season doesn’t just mean exhilarating rollercoaster rides (check out our guide to a day at Universal Studios) – it also means loads of glittering lights, tinsel, holly, and Wicked-and-Christmas-themed character meet and greets!

11. Raffles Place
Bustling office district by day, colourful festive playground by night! Raffles Place is back with their festive installations from 7pm to 12 midnight daily, with interactive light installations and decorations located all around the Raffles Place precinct. Motion-sensor light displays can be found along Raffles Place Park in dazzling coloured lights, while the festive installations come in the form of a towering Christmas Arch.

12. A Christmas Rendezvous at Capitol Singapore and Chijmes
There are so many Christmassy treats in store over at Capitol Singapore and Chijmes this December. Enjoy roving bands around the lawn and a free instant photo. You’ll be treated to snowfall each night, as well as carols from the Covenant Evangelical Free Church. Let’s not forget the twinkling Christmas lights either. Be mesmerised by the artsy projection show of classic Christmas scenes across the façade of Chijmes Hall from 7pm to 10pm nightly.
