Thanksgiving is just around the corner (Thursday 22 November to be precise) and we’re serving up a feast of celebrations in Singapore for the occasion. There are buffets and set dinners stuffed to the brim with old favourites like mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and the ultimate bird of the season – turkey, or for those opting for a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal, we’ve got all the stores that are guaranteed to get those tummies rumbling! Missed Thanksgiving? Fret not, these choice buffets and more will be dishing out the turkey and log cakes come Christmas for more festive feasting.

Marriott Café’s (pictured top) laying out a special spread for the season, including choice meats like crispy pork saddle, and maple glazed leg ham, Australian roast beef prime rib, pan-fried foie gras and of course, roast turkey with chestnut bread stuffing. If the meat fest isn’t enough for you, try the seafood surplus of freshly shucked oysters, Boston lobster, prawns, snow crab legs and scallops. Finish off the meal with an array of spicy desserts for the season like pumpkin cheesecake, honey roasted pecan pie and the classic Granny Smith apple streusel pie.

For a quiet Thanksgiving dinner at home with all the feast and none of the fuss, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has just the spread. We’re smacking our lips in delight at what Four Seasons have got planned. This semi-buffet spread comes with an entree choice from favourites including an oven-roasted organic turkey with chestnut stuffing and butter glazed baby veg, slow-roasted Westholme wagyu striploin, roasted Atlantic cod or a kabocha squash and ricotta ravioli. And there’s still the lavish spread to look forward to including delish seafood like Maine lobsters, langoustines and tuna, as well as French cheeses, salads and of course, a dessert spread of pumpkin pies, German stollen and caramelised pecan cheesecake. Get your wallets ready for the Black Friday Sales happening on 23 November to save loads on Christmas gifts. Take a break from shopping and head to the cinema with the kids to watch the Disney movie, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (hitting theatres in November).
