The humble foot. It is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints and more than 100 tendons, muscles and ligaments. And our kiddos’ little tootsies are supporting their whole bodies for over six hours a day when they’re at school. So it makes sense that, when buying school shoes for the kids, we buy the best ones we can afford. So we’ve been stepping out around the island and putting in the groundwork for you – all to find the best places to buy school shoes in Singapore before the kids head back to school.
Where to buy school shoes in Singapore
1. Ten Feet Tall
Ten Feet Tall sells a huge range of school and Asics kids’ sports shoes, as well as provides the only full-service measuring and fitting service in Singapore. Opened in July 2016 by expat mum duo Sam and Nicola, it’s a huge hit with school mums islandwide. Carrying leading brands, including Start-rite, Petasil, Ricosta, Ascent, and Asics (trainers, football boots and netball shoes), you’re sure to find the perfect pair for kids ages three to 18. Shoes range in size from a dinky EU24/UK7 up to a man-sized EU48/UK13. They also come in widths E, F, and G (narrow to wide), and prices are in line with the UK and Australia.
We LOVE that Ten Feet Tall has teamed up with British podiatrist Helen Crawford to sort out any niggling foot problems (she provides free mini consultations in the shop once a month). You can also donate your used shoes to the Shoe Bank to help people all over the world who really need them. Waste not, want not, we say!
