Need some new swimmers for the young 'uns? We list our favourite stores for splashtastic togs for babies, kids, tweens and teens.
How lucky are we to live in a tropical hotspot? Every day here in Singapore feels like summer – it’s our kids’ idea of paradise! So, with all that endless sunshine, you’re no doubt a regular at the pool or beach, ready to embrace your inner mermaid. And, with all that splashtastic fun to be had, the children have to look the part, right? Which means you’re going to be in need of some snazzy kids’ swimwear! If you’re in the market for some new girls’ bikinis, swimsuits, boys’ boardshorts, rashies or kids’ bathers, then you’re in luck. We’ve tracked down the best places to buy kids swimwear in Singapore – something that’s actually quite hard to find! (Of course, once you’ve got your tots’ togs sorted, you’ll need our guide to our fave public pools to show off those new wet threads…)
Where to buy kids’ swimwear in Singapore
1. Ocean Paradise
You haven’t really shopped for kids’ swimwear – or for yourself, for that matter – until you’ve been to Ocean Paradise. The store is a veritable trove of imported labels for kids aged two and up, like Snapper Rock (pictured above), Funky Trunks and Funkita, among other swim brands. And it really is a shopper’s paradise: there is every piece of swimwear paraphernalia you could possibly think of! Everything is gorgeous, it’s true, although it’ll cost you. Still, it’s all good quality! There are three stores islandwide but we say make Paragon your first port of call, as the store is dedicated to swimwear for kids.
Where: Ocean Paradise stores at Paragon (kids’ branch), Tanglin Mall and Great World City
2. Ned

Whoop! A kids’ swimwear brand we can really get on board with. All hail NED Swim: sun-protective swimwear (UPF50+) designed for children aged one to eight. The range of UV rashies, swim shorts, one-pieces and bikini pants come in a unisex-friendly range of block colours – we’re personally particular fans of the peach and rose combo for both our boys and girls! (Who doesn’t love a little matchy-matchy family co-ordination?) The brand was set up by two sun-loving sisters and us HoneyKids mums can attest to its fabulousness. Shipping is from Australia and is free for orders over $175, otherwise a flat fee of $15 applies.

3. Seed Heritage
Seed Heritage has seriously cool swimwear for kids on its racks – it’s so cute, you’ll often find us wishing it was available in our size, too! Cool prints, durable fabrics, a great fit and styles that scream fun, fun, fun: these swimmers tick all the right boxes for us parents. Hands down, these are top-quality children’s swimsuits. Love!

4. Cotton On Kids
We’re already big fans of Cotton On Kids for its awesome kids’ fashion. It’s great value, good quality and the littlies love it, which says a lot! So naturally, we’ve checked out its kids’ swimwear options for both boys and girls. The good news: it’s equally as awesome. There are affordable swimmers for everyone from toddlers to tweens, making it a one-stop shop for the whole family. Expect brightly coloured tankinis, girls’ bathers and long-sleeved swimsuits to help them stay safe in the rays, plus rashies and cool board shorts for the little fellas. We also thoroughly recommend the hooded towels to make the drying debacle as easy as possible. Need accessories, too? Deck them out in sunglasses, swim hats to protect their necks and fancy flip flops. Job done!

5. Roxy
Earn yourself some brownie points with your tweens by kitting them out with beachwear from surf brand Roxy. It’s seriously cool stuff on offer here that they’re sure to be torn between options! Not just content with offering stylish swimwear for kids, the folks behind Baby BeachBums also take sun protection very seriously. Check out its online store for its all-in-ones, rash vests and more. If you’ve got little ones ready to start swimming lessons, then rest assured the thermal wetsuits range will keep them nice and warm in the pool. Oh, and you can also stock up on swim diapers for the teeny little swimmers while you’re at it! We reckon it’s a top contender for kids swimwear in Singapore. If your little one has eczema, then take a look at the fleece-lined options, which can help to minimise skin irritations caused by chlorine or saltwater.

This UK-based clothing giant has oodles of choice, so the knee-high fashionistas in your family are sure to find something they love. Next’s clothes are also top quality, so you’ll easily fill the shopping basket up! (Be careful with returning clothes though, as you’ll be paying for postage.) 9. Seafolly
We’re putting it out there: if you’re looking for affordable swimwear for kids, then mayyyyybe don’t look here. As much as we adore iconic Aussie swimwear label Seafolly, it’s definitely not the cheapest option to take. However, we challenge you not to fall in love with the gorgeous girls’ bathers… and not get yourself a little sumthin’ sumthin’ while you’re at it! If you’re out and about and want to see things up close, there are four concept stores to choose from. Otherwise, grab the laptop and order online.

What a great idea – non-slip pool shoes for babies and toddlers! High praise to Singapore-based expat mum Pia, who set up Poolzies with her partner, Steve. These durable, slip-on shoes help prevent your tottering little one from slipping over around the pool, and they also protect their teeny tootsies from hot surfaces. Definitely a must when visiting some of the many water-play areas around Singapore! The fabric also has a UPF 50+ protection from the sun. Shoes are a very reasonable $35 per pair and… free shipping!
