Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we’re serving up a feast of ways to find or create a great celebration in Singapore. There’s a handful of buffets and set dinners stuffed to the brim with old favourites like mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and the ultimate bird of the season – turkey. For those opting for a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal, we’ve got all the stores that are guaranteed to get those tummies rumbling, as well as the best butchers to get your turkeys. If you can do it for Christmas, why not Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving Buffets

Brewerkz Thanksgiving Buffet ‘17
Singapore’s longest running microbrewery is giving us something real to give thanks for at the Thanksgiving Buffet: roast turkey and bone-in-gammon ham served with a side of sweet potatoes with marshmallows, finished with traditional pumpkin pie. Wow. To top things off, the kids won’t let you skip the crispy churros and chocolate fondue. Plus Brewerkz draft beers are priced at happy hour prices – get booking!

Marriott Café’s Thanksgiving Celebration Like No Other
The Mariott’s laying out a special spread for the season, including choice meats like bourbon and honey glazed leg ham, Australian roast beef, pan-fried foie gras and of course, roast turkey (maple glazed). If the meat fest isn’t enough for you, try the seafood surplus of freshly shucked oysters, lobster, prawns, crab legs and scallops. Finish off the meal with an array of spicy desserts for the season like pumpkin spiced cake with frosted cheese gingersnaps and apple & walnut crumble.

Fancy a classier but no less decadent feast? How about a moonlit dinner at the Pool Grill featuring a sumptuous three-course meal with favourites such as foie gras parfait, roast turkey breast and sticky toffee pudding a la mode. Perfect for date night or to impress the folks.

A Meat Smith Thanksgiving
Meat Smith certainly isn’t scrimping this Thanksgiving! This smokehouse is serving up a complete Thanksgiving feast with sweet potato casserole, corn bread and of course, the turkey, brined for two days and hickory smoked for four hours. Enjoy a rustic experience with communal tables and plenty of good booze. Be sure to leave room for the maple pecan and pumpkin pie desserts!

For a quiet Thanksgiving dinner at home with all the feast and none of the fuss, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has just the spread. DIY Feasting

Get your wallets ready for the Black Friday Sales happening over the weekend to save loads on Christmas gifts. Take a break from shopping and head to the cinema with the kids to watch the Disney movie, Coco (hitting theatres in November).
