We love it when the skies light up with dazzling flashes of lights and colours. Families gather and flock to the best fireworks viewing spots to immerse in the light and sound spectacle. On top of the National Day fireworks, we can look forward to New Year’s Eve fireworks and even fireworks in the heartlands! We’ve got the top places to watch fireworks in Singapore to add to your hit list (including a spot in Sentosa that shoots fireworks every night!).
But 2026 is going to be a little different because we’re having a blast in the sky with Disney!
To commemorate the arrival of the Disney cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, in Singapore, the Marina Bay area will light up with a 10-minute fireworks show set to classic tunes like Frozen’s Let It Go, The Little Mermaid’s Under the Sea, and Toy Story’s You’ve Got a Friend in Me. The Disney nautical-themed display will be complemented by Peranakan-inspired accents — a nod to local culture.

Go on a Disney photo trail with seven magical spots across Marina Bay. Each one features a unique setup inspired by the the ship’s themed zone. Hunt them down at Gardens by the Bay, Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, UOB Main Branch, JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, One Fullerton, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, and Swissotel The Stamford.
Best places to watch fireworks for free in Singapore at the Marina Bay precinct
Helix Bridge and Benjamin Sheares Bridge

You can get a pretty good view from these popular fireworks watching spots. The Helix Bridge is a short pedestrian bridge that connects Marina Bay Sands to Marina Centre. It’ll give you a good view of the fireworks, if you can find a spot in the middle. For the National Day or New Year’s eve fireworks, we recommend heading there as early as 5pm to secure a good spot. Caution, it can get crowded here!
For Benjamin Sheares Bridge, you’ll have to walk quite a distance to scale up Singapore’s tallest and longest (1.8km) bridge. This vehicular flyover is a popular spot to catch fireworks, you’ll often find cars slowing down at midnight on New Year’s Eve or National Day just to get a glimpse of the colours display in the sky. Expect slow moving traffic and raucous cheers!
Where: Helix Bridge is accessible via Marina Bay Sands or Marina Centre. Benjamin Sheares Bridge runs from Keppel Road to Marina Centre.
Marina Bay Sands Promenade

The promenade just outside Marina Bay Sands, with its scenic deck and deck chairs, might be a good spot to view the fireworks this National Day. Position yourself strategically otherwise the tall buildings might get in the way. Areas towards the ArtScience Museum side will do better. It will be packed, so grab a spot as early as you can.

Esplanade Roof Terrace

Here’s an open-air rooftop you should park at if you want to spot fireworks. Expect great views here – the Esplanade grounds in the foreground, the waterfront, Marina Bay Sands in the distance, and the fireworks display. That’s the star of the entire view! Be sure to get there early; we reckon it will be packed to the brim.

Merlion Park, Esplanade Bridge, and Jubilee Bridge

Another great area for top views of the fun. Situated by the waterfront, this iconic spot offers a fantastic view of the fireworks with the Marina Bay Sands in the background. Bag a spot early and bring a portable charger if you go. And if you need to fuel up there’s a takeaways bistro and Mos burger just a stone’s throw away.

Marina Barrage

Pack a picnic and capture some amazing family photos up on Marina Barrage as the fireworks pop behind you. The spacious rooftop area is ideal for families to hang out as well as the perfect spot for being wowed by the celebrations in the sky once the sun goes down. A great place for a family bike ride, too! Marina Barrage is one of the venues that will host live NDP screenings but you’ll need to ballot for a ticket. But don’t worry, even if you didn’t get a ticket, there’s lots of space to hang around and immerse in the festivities!

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is always a sure hit with the kids when it comes to family-friendly activities. Especially when Stitch is in the house and Jurassic World taking over the Cloud Forest, so why not head over to check them out with a chance to catch some fireworks? You’ll get views of not only the Marina Bay area where the fireworks are happening but the South China Sea too. If your ants-in-their-pants kids are not cut out for a sit-down meal, then bag some turf around the Bay East Garden for the best views from the ground.

Bay East Garden

As mentioned above, if Gardens by the Bay is too crowded for your liking, we suggest hitting up Bay East Garden instead. Situated opposite Supertree Grove and the two conservatories, the location provides sweeping views of the Marina Bay Skyline minus the crowd. Plus, the littles can skate and scoot while waiting for the fireworks display.

Link Bridge Marina Square – Millenia Walk
A little-known spot is the link bridge between Marina Square and Millenia Walk. It’s open-air and spacious with some seating peppered around the area. Grab a bite from one of the malls or you might even consider a picnic under the stars while waiting for the fireworks. Located on the second floor of both malls.

The Promontory @ Marina Bay

This waterfront spot is bang at Marina Bay and is perfect to capture unobstructed views of the fireworks in action. With its large open space, the Promontory @ Marina Bay is one of the venues for live NDP viewings; yes, you’ll need to ballot for the tickets. It’s pretty much a festival village there with games, light snacks and refreshments that come with your tickets, not forgetting the goody bag. But for the rest of the year, you can pack your picnic baskets and lay out the mats to catch the fireworks in the skies!

Marina South Pier
Not to be confused with the bigger Marina Bay Cruise Centre, the Marina South Pier Cruise Centre is the pier for smaller boats and ferries to the Southern Islands. Take the lift to the third floor from exit B to access the rooftop garden. Snag a spot that faces the CBD and you’ll get a beautiful coastal view of the fireworks.

Marina Bay Cruise Centre
Larger cruise ships that sail outside Singapore dock at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Head to the carpark on the third floor and camp near lots 85 – 89 for a view of the Marina Bay waterfront, where you’ll the fireworks show. It’s not a super huge area but it is one of the lesser known spots to view fireworks in Singapore for free.

Best places to watch fireworks for free in Singapore at East Coast and Kallang areas
East Coast Park

Take the family for an evening stroll along East Coast Park. Pack a picnic (and the mozzie spray!) and pitch yourself a spot along the beach to watch the fun. You should be able to see the higher blasts of pyrotechnics – the best views will be towards the Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay Park connector.

Singapore Sports Hub
Singapore Sports Hub holds live telecast of the National Day parade and the fireworks. And for NYE 2026, they even set off their own fireworks at an earlier time, so the littlies didn’t have to stay way past their bedtimes to catch a glimpse of the colourful blast. We’re on the lookout for what they’ve planned this year.

Tanjong Rhu Promenade
Just beyond the Singapore Sports Hub, past the Tanjong Rhu Suspension Footbridge is the entire stretch of Tanjong Rhu Promenade. You can make your way up the lookout tower or walk all the way to the end and park yourself there for a glimpse of the fireworks. This is not much of a “hidden gem”, but it is a scenic spot for strolls and cycling.

Funan Mall Roof Garden

If you want to enjoy the fireworks without the hustle and bustle of Marina Bay and Esplanade, we highly recommend heading to Funan Mall’s roof garden. Funan’s rooftop garden is a lively spot to catch the fireworks. Besides providing a fantastic view of the fireworks, you can do so in a more relaxed and intimate setting, perfect for a memorable family outing. Take lift FL2 in Lobby B on Level 1.

Boat Quay and Clarke Quay

These lively areas by the Singapore River are great for watching the fireworks. Hang around by the river banks outside Clarke Quay or station yourself under the fat bronze bird, Botero sculpture, outside UOB Plaza. You might grab a bite from the nearby restaurants, bars, or cafes.

High Street Centre Carpark
This hidden vantage point is a popular spot for photographers to get a shot of The Parliament House, glowing in the night with fireworks in the background. You’ll want to head to the fifth floor of High Street Centre early to snag a spot near the edge.

Best places to watch fireworks for free in Singapore at the heartlands
If towing the family to the Marina Bay area seems like an uphill task, the good news is you can look forward to a good celebration closer to home. During National Day, fireworks may be extended to heartland sites, so watch this space for updates!
For other times of the year, scale to the top of these residential blocks for stress-free fireworks viewing! But bear in mind, these are the homes of others, do keep the noise level down and put trash where it belongs.
The Pinnacle @ Duxton

Standing at 50 storeys tall, The Pinnacle @ Duxton boasts two sky gardens, one on level 26 and the other on level 50, perfect for fireworks viewing. While level 26 is exclusive and free for residents only, the sky garden on level 50 is opened to public for a small fee of $6, daily from 9am to 9pm. Time to make some new friends there?

Skyville@Dawson
These towering blocks along Margaret Drive offers one of the best vantage points for viewing fireworks for free. The sky garden located on level 47 of Skyville@Dawson is connects across three blocks, giving us a 300m long track to watch the fireworks from. Best part, it’s free for all and it opens daily from 7am to 10pm. And with a supermarket, convenience stall, and food stalls in the area, you don’t even have to pack your own picnic basket.

Block 233 Bras Basah Complex
Even though Bras Basah Complex sits within the Civic District, there are blocks of residential flats above it that offer cool views of the fireworks! The best fireworks viewing spots are along the corridors of residents’ homes, so it’s important to be extremely considerate and mindful when camping out there.

Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony: Singapore’s only daily fireworks show

If you don’t want to wait for a special occasion, the Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony is a fireworks display you can catch any day of the week! With two timeslots in the evening, feast your eyes on an amazing display of pyrotechnics, breathtaking 3D projections, and colourful water features.

Singapore Flyer
How about catching the fireworks from up above? Head to the Singapore Flyer, where you can be 165 metres above ground and witness (and snap photos of) the amazing display. As each rotation lasts about 30 minutes, we recommend timing your slot really well. You wouldn’t want to miss the fireworks before you even get on or finish the trip before the fireworks start! Now this isn’t free, but you’ll share get some good views!

Best restaurants to watch the fireworks in Singapore
These restaurants and bars will give you a great view of the night sky and the fireworks while you munch on some good food or have a nice cocktail! Make sure to keep an eye out on the opening times, and we’ll update them if they open later for National Day.
Caffe Fernet

Located along the Marina Bay waterfront, Caffe Fernet is a spot worth booking to catch the fireworks in all its glory. Besides feasting your eyes on the sparkly spectacle, you can also look forward multiple menus to choose from and even a five-hour free flow boozy package if you’re feeling frisky.

While you’re there, definitely try some of their craft beers and specials on the menu. Not a rooftop restaurant but a waterfront destination, Super Loco is where you and the fam can capture the picturesque view of Singapore’s birthday fireworks show by the iconic Marina Bay waterfront this NYE. We think Super Loco is definitely one of Singapore’s staples, but if you’re new to the restaurant, here’s what you can look forward to – the finest Mexican cuisine, ever. If you’re not a fan of Mexican food, it also has delicious Irish Point oysters and a heavenly variety of grilled meat and fish. And the cocktails? To die for! We’re talking about the coconut pandan and prickly pear chupitos, on top of many other drinks on their menu.
