Mother’s Day 2017: the date when we *might* just get a lie-in (until 6am), and a slice of toast with a big mug of coffee in bed. May 14 is when we’ll be celebrating awesome mums all over Singapore, and it’s coming up fast, folks. We’re guessing the kids might need a little bit of guidance when it comes to what we really want for Mother’s Day, so we say break out the craft kit and start thinking macaroni necklaces, DIY cards and homemade floral offerings. Here’s five fun Mother’s Day crafts that kids of all ages will love making for mummy…

Flower pots, candles, necklaces and a gorgeous card: what more could mum ask for?

1. Forfeit the expensive blooms and save a bunch of cash with these colourful paper bouquets by Craft Tutsplus: they’ll last for years rather than days!

2. Mother’s Day wouldn’t be Mother’s Day without a handprint offering from the tots, and we love the pretty flowerpot art by Little Stars Learningsimple to make and gorgeous to look at!

3. Steer your older kids to this Hey Gorgeous teacup candle tutorial: perfect for keeping them busy with some vintage shopping (or a raid in your cupboards) followed by a creative crafternoon.

4. Craft projects just aren’t craft projects without a bit of washi tape involved: try these fun Mother’s Day cards by DIY Candy for a sweet treat that all mums will love.
