We've been waiting not-so-patiently for this! The Palawan @ Sentosa is now open. Here's what to expect!
We’re always on the hunt for new things to do with the kids in Singapore, and there are so many reasons to visit Sentosa with the whole family in tow. We love the fail-safe attractions like Universal Studios Singapore and SEA Aquarium, and did we mention it was perfect for a cheeky staycation?! Now we can add another drawcard to the Island of Fun with the opening of The Palawan @ Sentosa!
Can you remember the cute pirate ship water play that took up the space opposite the old KidZania (reopening in 2024, woot woot!)? Shangri-La Group have taken it over and created a brand new family-friendly lifestyle destination, and renamed the Palawan Sands space as The Palawan @ Sentosa. With +Twelve Beach Club, a brand new family beach club complete with swimming pool, already open, we can’t wait for the rest of the fun attractions over the next few months. We’re talking: waterslides and splash play, an 18-hole mini golf course, an electric go-karting arena, and an adults-only club Tipsy Unicorn. Here’s the lowdown on this 183,000 sq ft brand-new entertainment precinct…
HoneyKids Asia Guide to The Palawan @ Sentosa
The Palawan @ Sentosa is set to become our new favourite place for family fun days. With spaces to relax and enjoy the beach ambience, as well as loads of action-packed activities to keep the whole clan entertained for hours, here’s the lowdown:
1. Work out at HydroDash bouncy water park
We’re big fans of this bouncy water park that’s been given a flash new facelift! Kiddos six years and older (taller than 1.1 metres) will love running, bouncing, climbing (and falling off) this super fun floating playground. Adults can join in the fun, but be warned: it’ll feel like a gym session!
Details: Tickets can be bought online or on-site and start at $22 for 1 hour. Buy now
2. Elegant ambience: Relax, swim and dine at +Twelve Beach Club (now open)
If you have older kids that don’t need you to tag along at HydroDash, you can watch the action from your cabana at +Twelve Beach Club. We visited on opening day and were so tempted to dive in and take a seat at the super cool swim-up bar with sea views. There’s also a tantalising menu that is sure to whet your tastebuds after action-packed adventures at the other The Palawan @ Sentosa attractions!
Details: Free entry, but with a $100 minimum spend on weekdays, $200 on weekends. Head online to book a daybed or private cabana.
3. Fun water play at Splash Tribe (opening 28 July)
Splash Tribe is possibly our favourite area of The Palawan @ Sentosa because it is home to the waterslides! Kiddos will love splashing and sliding their way around sandcastle themed zones, and the overall vibe is much more elegant than your typical splash park.
4. Get your golf on at UltraGolf! 18-hole mini golf course
Tee off at Singapore’s ultimate mini-golf experience at UltraGolf! This 18-hole beachside course with two tee positions is perfect for everyone, including the kids! Everyone is welcome. Kids three and above can take on the course (and under threes are welcome too and free to join the fun; they just won’t get their own assigned putter). Note that kids under 13 must have one adult with them to play.
Details: Open Mondays to Fridays: 12.30pm – 9pm, last entry: 8pm, and Saturdays, Sundays, Public and School Holidays: 10am – 9pm, last entry: 8pm.
5. HyperDrive: an interactive electric go-kart circuit (opening mid-August)
Wanna try Asia’s first indoor gamified electric Go-Kart circuit? Head on down to the soon-to-open HydroDrive and take on real-life racing and virtual gaming around a three-level racetrack. You can try out the electric go-karts, which come equipped with industry-leading engines, ergonomic seat designs and pro-level steering wheels –fancy! There are even dual karts for double the excitement with the little ones. Psst…there’s also a cafe where you can catch all the action from the gallery view!
Details: All participants who wish to drive the go-kart alone must be at least 130 cm tall. Children who fall below the minimum height requirement can ride tandem karts with an adult.
6. The Palawan Dog Run: doggie paradise (opening end of July)
And our four-legged best friends are also well catered for at The Palawan @ Sentosa with a brand new (free!) Palawan Dog Run to check out. With a secure green space, agility modules and water points, your furry friends are in for an absolute treat at this puppy paradise.
Details: Located within The Palawan @ Sentosa, along Palawan Beach, near Beach Station car park and public transportation. Psst, it’s advised not to bring kids below 12 to the dog run.
