Whether you're shopping for a double pram, lightweight pushchair or compact stroller, you'll find our essential guide to baby prams handy for getting mobile with your tiny tots in Singapore
Stroller, pram, buggy or pushchair, no matter how we say it, finding the right set of wheels for our Singapore baby is essential. Baby wearing is another great option for Singapore, but backs do ache! Strollers are a big investment and the options can be overwhelming, so here’s our guide to the best buys on the island (that’s the Bugaboo Bee in our featured image, and it’s one of our faves!).
When zipping around Singapore, consider the most important criteria for your family’s lifestyle; will you be hopping on and off buses and trains? Are you a jet-setter? Do you walk everywhere or are taxis your main mode of transport (learn more about keeping your child safe in a taxi here)? We’ve broken our research down into these six essential categories: city living, active lifestyle, super compact, multifunctional, ultra lightweight and double trouble …
Bugaboo Bee5 Classic (see featured image and video above)

The Bugaboo Bee takes the top spot for the Singapore streets. The smooth wheels and suspension, plus the perfectly compact body allow for single-handed manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Forward and rear facing extendable seat options, compatible with a Bee bassinet and many car seat brands, this little buggy is suitable from birth up to 17kg. It’s stylish high-end quality and customisable parts will last the test of time.

2. ACTIVE LIFESTYLE
Baby Jogger City Mini
BUMPY-FREE RIDE FOR ACTIVE CITY LIVING
This is our favourite Singapore-friendly stroller for active families. Easy to navigate on public transport, bumpy streets, and in and out of public transport. Compact design, perfect for a bump-free ride through town or a run through the Botanical Gardens. This one also comes in a double version.
Buy: First Few Years from S$499
3. SUPER COMPACT
GB Pockit Stroller
PRACTICAL AND STURDY ALL-IN-ONE STROLLER
Larger than the Bugaboo Bee, this is the perfect stroller for time spent outdoors, and, with its foam-filler, air-pumped tyres, it will easily and smoothly navigate uneven surfaces. The generous bassinet for the infant stage, and comfortable fully reclinable seat for the toddlers are perfect for naps on the go. If taxis are not a priority, this one’s the go!
Buy: Motherswork, from S$1,600, Mothercare and First Few Years
STYLISH, NEAT AND ADAPTABLE
The dash ticks quite a few boxes, with its single and double functionality (you just never know when that little brother or sister might come along!). These guys invented the ‘inline’ stroller, meaning you can get around with two kids while only taking up the footprint of a single stroller. It’s stylish and light weight, and can keep your newborn flat and snug up to 9kg. The tires are puncture free so you can zip around town without a care. A neat and stylish little people mover indeed.
Buy: First Few Years, from S$1028 (with double kit)
Doona Infant Car Seat Stroller
CAR SEAT ON WHEELS
This is essentially a car seat on wheels, and is perfect for taking your baby to play dates and malls, and is suitable for babies just beyond infancy age up to approximately 15kg. Slightly on the heavier side, the wheels of the Doona stay fixed and fold up for use inside cars. The whole unit is quite low, which can make it a challenge for taller folk to push.
Buy: Pupsik Studio, from S$639
5. ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT (TODDLER STAGE)
Mountain Buggy Nano
LIGHTWEIGHT AND AFFORDABLE
This light weight and affordable stroller is perfect for travelling families and city sight-seeing. Folds down easily, and is great for hopping in and out of cars, trains and planes. The Mountain Buggy Nano is better suited to toddlers as the seat is forward facing with a generous basket underneath for all that toddler paraphernalia.
Buy: Motherswork, from S$499
6. DOUBLE TROUBLE – TWO KID OPTIONS
STURDY AND CONVERTIBLE, DOUBLE SIDE-BY-SIDE STROLLER
Designed specifically to grow with the family, the Bugaboo Donkey transforms – in just three simple clicks – from a mono to a duo stroller. And back again. This means you can use it for one kid, two kids of different ages, or twins.
Buy: Motherswork, from S$2,019, Mothercare and First Few Years
SLIMLINE AND VERSATILE DOUBLE OR SINGLE
Whether you have a baby, a toddler, one of each, or even two toddlers, you’re sorted with this versatile ride. There are modular options aplenty, with lying flat on and off the buggy, parent facing, and forward facing. It’s nice and light and compact, making it a great option for city living with two littlies.
Buy: First Few Years, from S$1,089
iCandy Peach and Raspberry
COMFORTABLE SEAT, CONVERTS TO COMPACT TANDEM STROLLER
Planning for two? The iCandy Peach converts to tandem and is suitable for babies from six months old to children weighing 25kg. The forward and rear facing options and three reclining positions are a plus, and we love the generous seat and ability to raise it up high. The iCandy Raspberry is a smaller version of the Peach and also worth exploring.
Buy: Motherswork, iCandy Peach from S$1,099, iCandy Raspberry from S$573
