New Disney classics, blockbuster sequels and more; there are so many films hitting the silver screen in 2026! Here are all the new family movies you'll want to watch with the kids this year.
Sitting in relative peace and quiet with a big bucket of popcorn on a trip to see one of the new movies in Singapore is one of our favourite easy activities to do with the kids on the weekend. It’s also a great way to sneak in a mum me time power nap! It works when the rain is pouring, and you’re looking for things to do indoors. The cinema is also a great place to be when it’s super hot weather and you just want a rest in the air con for a few hours. Bookmark this list of all the new movies at the cinema scheduled for release in Singapore this year. We’ll keep updating it as new releases are announced!
Top kid-friendly cinemas in Singapore

If you’re looking for a cinema in Singapore, there are several options to choose from, and you are sure to find a complex near you.
Shaw Theatres

Shaw Theatres have regular cinema halls, but they also offer huge IMAX screens, a Lumiere experience with roomy leather recliners, and Dreamers, which is the first theatre designed with families in mind. There are comfy sofas, and kids are easily forgiven for popcorn spills and being a little noisier than in a typical cinema!
Golden Village
Golden Village cinemas are scattered throughout the island, and they also offer a Gold Class option with plush reclining seats, a lightweight blanket, and premium food and beverage choices. This is great for a date night or a special movie moment!
