Whether you're a regular Kris Kringle or a Grumpy Grinch, these gorgeous Christmas light displays are guaranteed to get you in the festive mood!

Wondering where to view Christmas lights in Singapore? Despite being a year-round sunshine city, the festive season always sees the Little Red Dot transforming into a Christmas wonderland with gorgeous light displays, accompanied by elaborately decorated Xmas trees, at every shopping precinct. In between looking for Christmas decorations, gift shopping and hanging out with Santa, grab your cameras and take some time to check out these places with holiday lights to really soak up the yuletide spirit.

Hit up the whole of Orchard Road and prepare to be dazzled by sparkling festive lights and colourful set-ups at every turn in “Disney Magical Moments”. Think four zones of your fave Disney princesses, Mickey and all his friends, Frozen and Toy Story, starting at Tanglin Mall and ending at Plaza Singapura. And you might as well hit The Great Christmas Village outside Ngee Ann City while you’re there for carnival rides, games, tons of food and a chance to meet Santa!

To-fu Oyako In Tomorrowland, Bugis Junction

Bugis Junction is teaming up with ActionCity to bring shoppers one wacky Christmas installation. Expect a 10-metre tall Christmas tree-shaped centrepiece with a ferris wheel and a mirrored space inside that you can enter for those extra aesthetic selfies. There will also be  To-Fu Oyako characters roaming about to spread the festive cheer.

Universal Studios Singapore

Resorts World Sentosa is once again pulling out all the stops for its Christmas extravaganza. A ticket during the festive season doesn’t just mean exhilarating rollercoaster rides and cool pyrotechnics (check out our guide to to a day at Universal Studios) – it also means loads of glittering tinsel, holly, Xmas-themed shows and fireworks displays. Did we mention Santa will be in town with all his elves for the Christmas Parade? Stay on for Santa’s Christmas Light Up show before the character meet and greet before the night comes to a festive end.

Christmas Wonderland, Gardens by The Bay

We’re giving this seasonal fave (pictured top) a mention for its stunning light sculptures imported all the way from Italy, and its memorable (instagrammed-to-death) Spalliera centrepiece. This year’s Christmas light-up is sure to be a stunner.

Island Lights, Palawan Beach

Sentosa is putting a tropical spin on Christmas with its Island Lights installation. Featuring interactive displays by local artists, you might see some familiar faves like “The Leap of Faith” by Teng Kai Wei, as well as brand new ones like “Harmony” by Tina Fung which simulates a day-to-night transformation.

VivoCity

Mega shopping mall Vivocity is a must-visit for shoppers looking for Christmas cheer. The boardwalk just outside the mall will have its unique festive decorations and dazzling fireworks. This year, shoppers get a chance to skate under the moonlight at Vivo’s first ever outdoor skating rink.

Neon ChariTrees, Singapore Sports Hub

Singapore Sports Hub is putting the giving back into the giving season with its Neon ChariTrees. Take a walk along the Stadium Riverside Walk to grab a snap of these neon trees with each tree adopted by corporate donors with donations going to the Singapore Red Cross.

Starry Light Display, City Square Mall

City Green Park is lighting up this holiday season with a massive display of 300,000 LED lights. We’re talking a tunnel of stars, a multimedia display and a six minute light show! All that plus a carnival with rides and games to keep the kids entertained.
