Out for a walk and running out of ideas for pet-friendly cafe and restaurant to dine with your furkids? Especially those that let you sit indoors? We've done the legwork!
When the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced the easing of regulations around dining with pets at outdoor areas, we were overjoyed! Because this meant more options for fur-families like us to eat and chill with our pets. Since then, more dog cafes have opened up with more restaurants and cafes welcoming pets with open arms. Some offer free treats and water for doggos, and some even bring out those big fans to keep us cool! And if they are located in airy malls and spaces like One Holland Village or Geneo, then, no sweat, literally! For good food and good times with your furkids, save our handy list of pet-friendly cafes and restaurants in Singapore!
Remember! Your pet, your responsibility
While most outdoor dining spaces are pet-friendly, pet owners should remain aware of personal and cultural preferences and hygiene. So, pawrents, remember to keep your pets leashed and most importantly, don’t let them eat off the restaurant’s tableware! Be nice and clean up after your furkids too — whichever side of them it comes out from!

Wild/Fire: Pet-friendly restaurant with burgers and steak at at River Valley

If your walk by the Singapore River works up an appetite, Wild/Fire and its wood-fired meats are just the refuelling you need. Have it as a steak or between fluffy buns in hearty burgers; our favourite was the Truffled Mushroom Burger — rich and lusciously decadent as it should be. Add a side of Umami Fries, fries cooked in beef fat, to complete the meal. But beware! Your kids will want milkshake and your furkids will want a bite of that juicy steak! Check out how our furry reporter enjoyed the space on our Instagram.

Little Island Brewing Co: Pet-friendly and family-friendly restaurants in Changi, South Beach and Gillman Barracks

We said ‘east’, but this pet-friendly restaurant has three outlets around Singapore. Hit up any of the Little Island Brewing Co outlets and you’re set for a pet-friendly night of beer, live music, and smokin’ good food. But why the shoutout to their Changi Village outlet? Because that’s where their craft beers are brewed! Yes, they have a microbrewery there. Just imagine fresh cold beers with slow-cooked smoked meats and wood-fired sourdough pizzas – yum! Each restaurant has their outlet exclusive items, be sure to ask their friendly staff about it.

The Barking Bean: Dog-friendly cafe with indoor seats and dog friends in Siglap

The Barking Bean is a popular dog cafe in Singapore among pawrents because the cosy space not only serves up pretty yummy pasta, but also has a pet menu with food and dessert for the furry kids! Many pawrents come in just to hang around with coffee, while their dogs socialise with other dogs. Since many customers are so comfortable here, they do allow dogs to move around off-leash near tables, or to grab a drink at the dedicated pet fountain. Our furry reporter made so many new friends when we were there. The cafe runs themed pet events from time to time, keep up with them on their Instagram to join in the fun.
Where: The Barking Bean, 2 First St, #01-02 Siglap V, Singapore 458278
Stray Cafe: Dog-friendly cafe where dogs can roam indoors in Paya Lebar

This is the only dog cafe in Singapore that has cages! Not to cage the dogs, but to cage us hoomans so we can dine with our furkid off leash. This takes the stress off anxious pets and pets who just want to run free. Besides feeding you and your doggos, Stray Cafe also feeds strays by supporting stray feeders and rescue centres through donation of food or money. They’re big pet lovers here and you can tell by the smiles on their faces when we step in. Every dog gets a water bowl and they only use human-grade ingredients in their pet menu.

We love a good hotpot and even more so when we can bring our furkids! Goodcombo BBQ and Hotpot’s outlet at Kinex has a breezy outdoor space, perfect for dining out with pets. Their buffet-style hotpot and barbecue is a hit with students and hungry diners because it delivers great value, plus they don’t skimp on the cooked dishes either. There’s also free flow ice cream, drinks, and popcorn. Everyone gets their own hotpot and BBQ setup, so if you’re little one is big enough, they’ll have fun cooking their own meals.

Bailey and Patch has become like a one-stop shop for us; she gets her grooming done there while we take our time with our meals. Our go-to order includes the clam soup, prawn paste chicken, and pet cai fan for the furry reporter. Read our review for more details and check out the space on our Instagram.

Lo Hey HK Seafood: Pet-friendly restaurant with Hong Kong classics at Holland Village

This pet-friendly restaurant is one of the very few – or perhaps even the only– Chinese restaurants that welcomes furkids. Lo Hey HK Seafood fires up seafood zi char that hits all the right notes. You won’t go wrong with their stir-fried dishes and nourishing soups, but don’t miss out on their Typhoon Shelter Style Stir Fried Crab, cooked with a special blend of spices. While we can’t fully immerse in the restaurant’s nostalgic cinematic setting, we are more than happy that everyone, including our furkids, gets a seat at the outdoor deck. And since you’ll be at the pet-friendly mall, One Holland Village, make sure to hang out with the other doggos there.

OMMA Korean Charcoal BBQ: Pet-friendly BBQ spot in Holland Village

This is one place where it pays to bring a pet because you’ll get a complimentary drink (even beer or cocktails) when you dine in with your furkids! There is a minimum spend of $29.90 per person but this is easily met when you order their juicy meats. We’d also throw in an order of the Original Korean Chicken and definitely some ice cold beer to go along with it. OMMA Korean Charcoal BBQ’s Weekday Pet Party promotion runs from Mondays to Wednesdays and there’s even a monthly Best Dressed Pets competition where you’ll stand to win $50 OMMA dining voucher! Warm Up Cafe: Pet-friendly Thai restaurant at Buona Vista
Warm Up Cafe is where we go to for authentic Thai food. Particularly the outlet in Star Vista, because it is situated in a pet-friendly mall, with a pet drinking fountain and poo bags, so we get to walk around after dinner. The outdoor area is very breezy and has a grass carpet, which looks makes it look like we’re dining in a garden. Sometimes we are treated to live music while we slurp our boat noodles or wolf down our crab omelette rice. Oh, and they close at 3am – perfect for supper nights!
