How often do we find a pet-friendly cafe where we can sit, eat, & relax while our furkids get a groom?
As parents, we are always on the look out for fun things to do with kids; as pawrents, we do the same. Except, there are just not that many pet-friendly spots in Singapore where we can sit indoors with our furkids. Singapore is undeniably hot. But even so, I am happy that SFA has lightened up regulations since 1 January 2025, such that we can at least enjoy our meals sitting outdoors with our pets. When I learnt about Bailey and Patch – a pet cafe with indoor seating, professional grooming services, a pet-friendly menu, and most importantly, a big heart – I knew I had to check it out. More than just another pet-friendly cafe, Bailey and Patch celebrates diversity and inclusion, using food and the joy of pets to bridge the stigma gap and empower people with disabilities.
A bright open space at this pet-friendly cafe (with grooming services!)

We love that the space is bright and airy, although it could use a little more air-conditioning. Honestly, it didn’t stop us from coming back a second time! This 100-seater cafe is located within the Enabling Village, with ample open grounds outdoors for our furkids to sniff around and do their business. If you’re worried about leakage, you can get nappies at $1.50 per piece at the cafe.

The open layout is easy to navigate with pets or strollers, and there are a couple of booth seats for semi-privacy. For events or full privacy, they can cordon off a space, which fits about 20+ people. There’s a cute photo-taking spot right at the end, with an orange and white backdrop, a couple of stuffed animal friends, and seats for the main character – our pets.
Everything you need to know about the pet grooming services (while you enjoy a snack at the cafe)

To the right of the photo spot is where the grooming centre lies. From the inside of the cafe, it’s just a door, but when you look from the outside, you’ll see your furkids getting their wash and cut from the display window. You’ll walk pass the window when you go to the toilet, which is a distance away. Grooming starts from $45 for basic services and we love that we can eat and wait at the same place for our furkid. They offer grooming for a wide range of pets, from dogs and cats, to rabbits, guinea pigs, and even birds! One thing to note, grooming services are only available from Monday – Sunday, 10.00am – 6.00pm.
Feeding humans (and animals) at this pet-friendly cafe

Bailey and Patch serves up Asian food from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have the usual kaya toast and coffee set ($4.50) for breakfast, and a selection of noodles, rice, and claypot dishes. Some outstanding dishes we tried and loved include the Signature Golden Seafood Rice Noodles ($11.80). The savoury soup was very appetising, not a single slurp was left! The Nasi Lemak with Ayam Berempeh ($10.80) comes with a huge portion of chicken, beautifully marinated and cooked, make sure to share this if you are a small eater. You can also have this yummy chicken with Fried Rice instead of coconut rice.

If you are ordering the Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken ($12.80), you have to order rice to go along with it. It is good on its own but it’s better with rice! The Tornado Egg Rice (from $7.80 onwards), which comes with a choice of karaage, pork chop, tempura prawn, luncheon meat, and more is good to look at but is a little too dry for my personal liking. When it comes to snacks, their Prawn Paste Mid- Joint ($6.80 for 5 pcs) is a good choice. For kids, the Kids’ Meal Set which includes fried rice, a choice of meat, veg, and a drink, is $8.80.

This is probably the only place that serves Pet Cai Fan. For $11.80, you’ll get to choose one protein, one side and one garnish, making it a 200g meal. Choices range from the usual beef, pork, and lamb, to the more exotic kangaroo meat. If you’re looking for snacks, the fruit platter ($8.80), doggie dips ($2.80), or freshly baked doggie biscuits are great choices.
Best bit: Bailey and Patch empowers differently-abled people

Bailey and Patch provides employment opportunities to people with special needs and disabilities. They do so by employing, training, and developing service staff and groomers, preparing them for future employment in the hospitality and pet service sectors.
All cakes and pastries here are handcrafted by Baker Ben, a talented neurodivergent baker. He’s been baking since he was six years old, so if you love brownies, his rich and decadent (not cloying) brownies ($3/ piece) will hit the spot for you! Choose from Walnut Chocolate or Biscoff Chocolate flavours. He doesn’t just bake for humans, he also takes care of our furry friends with freshly-baked pet treats. Here, Ben will also take up the role of mentor and educator, leading fellow learners towards mastery and independence. (Update as of July 2025: Although Ben has moved on from Bailey and Patch, you can still get his bakes on Instagram!)

Fun fact: The cafe is named after the owner’s dogs, Bailey and Patches, who can be found doing their rounds at the cafe. They are very friendly and sociable, and love the place so much that they refuse to go home after “work”. Guess what? Mu furkid didn’t want to go home too!
