Aries (21 March–19 April)
Ramming in at number one, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, which says a lot. The Aries mum is confident, fearless and ready to take charge of any situation. They’re never one to back down from a challenge, which is why it’s only natural that she would get her kids into sports or heaps of after-school activities. Being an Aries, she also has quite a temper. Which means, as a mum, she’ll definitely need to get used to counting to 10 every time her patience is tested!
Taurus (20 April–20 May)
Before bub, the Taurus mum was all about self-care. And it’s easy to see in the way she cares for her little tykes. She wants everything safe and cushy, so you can count on her to bring extra snacks to playdates or a nice blanket for picnics. But just because she’s caring doesn’t mean she can’t get down to business. In fact, the Taurus mum is very stubborn and practical, which means she’s always on a budget AND staunch on her parenting skills.
Gemini (21 May–21 June)
You know that mum who’s always chatting AND not paying attention during PTA meetings? Yup, that’s the Gemini mum. They’re easy to get along with but very unpredictable. We’re talking signing up for baby swimming classes and then later on going on Instagram talking about how you should have signed up for baby yoga instead. You just never know with Geminis – they’re all over the place, which makes for a fun but semi-scatterbrained mum!
Cancer (21 June–22 July)
You could say that Cancers are born to be mums. Although they’re usually shy and reserved, they’re completely comfortable about offering help. They totally embrace #mumlife and all the perks that come along with it – even breastfeeding! Although they can be passive, they can easily turn on Hulk Mode to protect their bebes. Whoa.
Leo (23 July–22 August)
Head to the playground and you’ll find Leo mums swinging along with their kids or, much to everyone’s horror, sliding down headfirst on a slide. They’re big kids and demand just the same amount of attention from their bubs and spouses. When they aren’t demanding another hug or kiss, they’re probably raving about how awesome their kids are.
Virgo (23 August–22 September)
The Virgo mum is probably the most logical and practical mum out of the others in the zodiac. Ask her for advice about something as simple as “What should I get my baby for Christmas?” and she’ll probably share her very detailed spreadsheet with you, sorted by age group and price range. But the best thing about the Virgo mum is that she’s uber helpful. You can always count on her to go to yoga with you or even for extra breastmilk storage bags. Thank you, Virgo mums!
Libra (23 September–22 October)
You know a kid’s been raised by a Libra mum if they’ve got impeccable manners – we’re talking saying “please” and “thank you” for everything and being super considerate on top of that. It’s because Libras are so selfless and gracious themselves that they naturally carry it on in the way they raise their kids.
Scorpio (23 October–21 November)
Whenever a Scorpio finds something they’re passionate about, you’ll find that they devote 110% of themselves to their cause. And you’ll find that Scorpio mums take the same approach when it comes to parenting. They want to make sure their kids get the best of everything (don’t we all) but take it to the extreme. We say, don’t stand in the way of a Scorpio mum!
Sagittarius (22 November–21 December)
Because Sagittarius is the freest spirit of the zodiac, you can safely assume that they’ll be the same way with their kids. They’ll be the first to take their kids on awesome adventures and nature walks, and encourage their kids to take more risks. With that being said, #mumlife will be quite the adjustment for the freedom-loving Sagittarius mum. They’ll have to learn how to be more patient but that’s OK with them because that’s the kind of people they are!
Capricorn (22 December–19 January)
The Capricorn mum is all about tough love – but it doesn’t mean that they don’t love their bubs any less. It’s just the way they are. They’re all about planning and structure, and anything that gets in the way gets them REALLY anxious. You can also expect Capricorn mums to raise super-responsible kids. They demand a lot from their littlies because they themselves are really hardworking.
Aquarius (20 January–18 February)
The rebel of the bunch, the Aquarius mum is as fun as she is inspiring and brilliant. She’s also stubborn so you can bet that she’ll stand her ground when it comes to tantrum-throwing toddlers. You can always count on the Aquarius mum to be the friendliest mum in your mum group! Because of this, they’ll need to work on drawing a fine line between being mum and being a BFF to their kiddos.
Pisces (19 February–20 March)
The Pisces mum is one of the most creative mums of the bunch. She always throws the best themed birthday parties for her kids. Also, she’s known for her awesome packed lunches filled with all sorts of gourmet goodies and healthy but delish treats. Although the Pisces mum has her quirky moments – we’re talking spontaneous vacays or showing up to PTA meetings in a suit (because she means business) – she’s also super sensitive and in touch with her kids’ needs.
