The day of dads is almost upon us, and we definitely think he deserves a treat or two (so he knows how much getting one means to us mums!). There’s still time to book a table at these fancy feasts, with or without the kids to celebrate Father’s Day 2019.

Alley on 25, Andaz Singapore

Dad’s getting a special brekkie treat this Father’s Day at one of the most extensive breakfast buffets in Singapore. From Eggs Benedict to smoked salmon bagels breakfast quesadillas, fresh bread from Tiong Bahru bakery, gluten-free cereals and a live egg counter, Alley on 25 (pictured top) has it all. Plus, all dads get to enjoy a complimentary glass of ‘Godfather’ cocktail made from Great King Blended whisky and Amaretto, served with a slice of orange. The perfect way to start the day!

Nothing beats a good grill for dear dad and this lunchtime feast is roasting a smorgasbord of char-grilled delights, along with a dedicated kids’ buffet. Whet your appetite with smoked salmon salad, Hawaiian chicken ham macaroni and lobster minestrone soup before heading to the open-flame grill for smoky cuts of grilled beef striploin, chicken and lamb kebabs, sambal stingray wrapped, and five types of gourmet sausages. Heap on double or even triple helpings of roasted pumpkin and corn on the cob as well as Spanish mussels paella, and sautéed prawns to have on the side. Meanwhile the kiddos will get to enjoy their very own special buffet of beef spag bol, breaded fish fingers, chicken nuggets, cocktail sausages and shoestring fries while they’re kept busy at the activity station. If that’s not enough, there’s even chocolate pudding, strawberry cake and tiramisu to sweeten the deal. Work off that feast with a walk around Fort Canning Park to see the fam-friendly exhibit The Bicentennial Experience at Fort Gate and Fort Canning Centre once you’re done feasting.

The f in feasts stands for fancy at this sky-high dining destination. SKAI is laying out a spread of sophisticated dishes with wine pairings for all foodie fathers. Enjoy prawn sashimi served with shiso and soba paired with Taittinger Brut Réserve and choose from mains like Rhug organic lamb rump and roasted eggplant before polishing off the dessert of white chocolate peach with vanilla custard. So much yum.

Zafferano’s Terrace Lounge

Whether you fancy a lie-in or an early start, Carousel has prepared a full day of feasting for lunch, high tea and dinner. Be spoilt for choice at a sumptuous spread of fresh seafood from Singapore chilli crab and boiled Maine lobster, oyster and Alaskan king crab leg to BBQ short ribs. If you’re plumping for a moonlit date night, all dads will be gifted a pair of couple mugs with a special heat-sensitive message (psst: pay that teh tarik live station a visit!).

Dine like a king this Father’s Day with Executive Chef Nicky Ng’s specially created Enhanced Weekend Brunch. Eat your fill of Cantonese dim sum, roasts, soups and desserts alongside stir-fried abalone, steamed bamboo clam and lobster with minced pork. There’ll also be an exclusive dish of seabass topped with red yeast and garlic.

One-Ninety is serving up a fam-friendly gastro sesh this Father’s Day. Tackle a literal tower of seafood of over seven varieties including Maine lobster, king crab, blue fin tuna, fresh prawns and Hokkaido scallop, served right to your table in a lemongrass infused dry ice cascade. Or head over to the buffet for deep sea crab claws, wood roasted Peking duck carved à la minute, roasted veal, seared foie gras and the ever popular One-Ninety Singapore laksa. Tuck into a spread of rich Manjari chocolate tarts and espresso puffs to finish the meal. The bouncy castles and other fun activities happening at the Kids Playzone makes this brunch a surefire winner for the whole family.

The Song of India

For something a little different this Father’s Day, dine on the delicacies of Kashmiri and Lucknow in Northern India, with dishes specially prepared by Director of Cuisine, Chef Manjunath Mural. There will be a special live station serving freshly made, traditional rice hoppers with coconut pumpkin stew and street food from Kerala. If you’re dining late, you can expect signature dishes like chicken roulade stuffed with spinach and cottage cheese, Hyderabadi lamb shish kebab cooked in a clay pot and a homemade masala tea dessert.
