We've got a list of top-notch vegan restaurants to eat at all year round in this sunny city.
Veganuary might be over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy scrumptious plant-based meals around the city. Whether you’re looking for a healthier option or one that suits your kids’ dietary needs, Singapore has plenty of restaurants with tasty plant-based offerings. They’re so good, you won’t even realise you aren’t eating meat! Read on below for our recommendations on the best family-friendly vegan restaurants in town…
1. Afterglow by Anglow
You certainly can’t go wrong when you’re dining at Afterglow by Anglow. Its menu serves up mouth-watering bites, wholesome salads, satisfying mains and sweet desserts that the kids will fawn over. The best part? Its dishes aren’t only entirely plant-based, but are gluten-free, too. We especially love its Australian Spring salad, its mac and cheese cauli bites and sweet potato hummus (above) – tasty and easy for the kids to eat!
Where: Afterglow by Anglow, 24 Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089131
2. Genesis Vegan Restaurant
If you dig cosy brunch vibes with a splash of delicious, healthy food, bring the kids round to Genesis Vegan Restaurant. You’ll get to enjoy a hearty serving of freshly baked artisanal bread and other Asian-Western dishes, like vegan sausages, vegan lasagna, nasi lemak and laksa. Our favourite? Its signature purple berries and raisin wholemeal bread – a sweet, wholesome loaf that is perfect by itself, or with jam. The kids will definitely want another slice… or two!
Where: Genesis Vegan Restaurant, 2 Havelock Rd, #B1-01 Havelock II, Singapore 059763
3. VeganBurg Singapore
It’s no secret: we love burgers. But sadly, not every fast-food burger joint in the city offers a vegan option. Enter: VeganBurg, your new go-to whenever you or the kids are hankering for a good burg. We love its speciality creamy ‘shrooms burger, but we’ve got a soft spot for the spicy chilli krab burger, too. Its seaweed fries and seasonal chillers are sure to make any little one happy, but we’d recommend you get shrooms pops with sambal mayo as well – crunchy, zesty and fried. Nobody said eating vegan meant we had to be healthy…
Where: VeganBurg Singapore, 44 Jln Eunos, Singapore 419502
4. Loving Hut
Looking for a vegan option to your everyday hawker delights? Loving Hut has all you could want, and possibly more. You’ll certainly be spoilt for choice, having to decide between Nonya mee siam, Teochew kuay chap and even masak buah keluak, a Pernankan nut curry traditionally cooked with chicken. Kids can order a kids’ meal – a choice between pasta napoletana, “cheezy haem” sandwich or scramble tofu sandwich, served with a cup of juice. Who said vegan food had to be boring?
Where: Loving Hut, 229 Joo Chiat Rd, #01-01, Singapore 427489
