About Napatsorn Ngaosawangjit
Writer
Napatsorn is a lifestyle writer with a deep passion for art. Before becoming a writer, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in British and American Studies, where she was introduced to the culture of both countries, as well as the works of Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters and D. H. Lawrence. As much as she loved reading, her fascination with art began when she took a course called Introduction to Western Art. This led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Art History and Curating at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Her writing journey began when she returned to Thailand and started her first job as a copywriter at an art and antique complex, River City Bangkok. There, she learnt to write in different formats, from curatorial texts and exhibition descriptions to catalogue entries showcasing collectables for auction, along with stories about antique shops, in both Thai and English. Later, she realised she wanted to focus more on contemporary art, which led her to her second role at JWD Art Space, where she worked as a content marketing officer, producing content to promote exhibitions and services.
During exhibition openings, she interacted frequently with the press and media. Those encounters sparked her desire to venture beyond the art world. She then joined Time Out Thailand as a staff writer, where she covered art, food and drink, travel, advertorials and current news.
Now, she believes Bangkok is a city where people of all ages can breathe in its energy. Having three nephews whom she has spent time with since birth, she has seen firsthand how children are just as important as adults. As a writer for HoneyKids Bangkok, her goal is to show that the Thai capital is not only for digital nomads, expats or solo travellers, but also a city where families can create meaningful memories and children can experience culture while having fun.
