Somewhere between the astrology readings and crystals, I ended up getting unexpected updates about my love life.
If you ask whether I believe in fortune telling, one thing I can tell you is that I literally asked ChatGPT about a guy that deep down I already knew was about to ghost me. So the moment I saw the Finding Birth Crystal workshop at Libra & Pisces, I signed up without any hesitation.
Even though the workshop name doesn’t really shout out astrology to me, the 1-hour session is led by resident astrologer Chayakorn Damrongtrongsiri, an eclectic Uranian astrologer.
Unlike regular horoscope readings that mostly focus on zodiac signs, this type of astrology goes much deeper by looking at exact planet positions and energy patterns to create what feels like a blueprint of your life.
Basically, after looking at my natal chart, he could tell me about my personality, love life, career, strengths and overall energy.
Then, based on the reading, he gave me a card with all the details and selected crystals that matched what I supposedly need most in life – whether that’s better relationships, good fortune or emotional balance.
The workshop takes place at Libra & Pisces on the 2nd floor of Slowcombo near Samyan Mitrtown. More chic lifestyle boutique than fortune-telling studio, the space is filled with sparkling crystals and gemstones believed to attract different kinds of energy.
After the reading, you can even buy the crystals that Chayakorn personally selected for you right away. The “Finding Birth Crystal” workshop is held regularly every month.
Anyway, besides finding out which crystal matched my energy, another thing I really wanted to know was about my future husband. Was he finally on the way or was the universe preparing to send me another emotionally unavailable man disguised as a life lesson?

A fortune-telling studio straight out of Pinterest
I love fortune telling, and this is not an uncommon thing in Thai society at all. However, most studios I’ve visited usually have heavy curtains, mysterious statues, dim lighting and rooms that feel almost too serious and mysterious. Libra & Pisces is nothing like that.
Located on the 2nd floor of Slowcombo, a community mall near Samyan Mitrtown with cafes and lifestyle shops similar to The Commons Thonglor, the space feels more like a chic lifestyle boutique than a fortune-telling studio.
Inside, you’ll find an array of crystals and gemstones, each believed to carry different meanings and energies. Some are said to attract love and confidence, while others are linked to luck, protection or emotional balance. And if carrying around a crystal isn’t really your thing, there are also bracelets and necklaces that let you wear the stones as everyday accessories instead.
The whole place is decorated in dreamy shades of blue with cute zodiac-inspired details that make it look straight out of Pinterest.
And despite the name Libra & Pisces, you don’t actually have to be a Libra or Pisces to come here. The name simply comes from the zodiac signs of the 2 owners.
At first, I was confused because I couldn’t see any reading tables in the shop. I genuinely thought, “Wait… are they about to read my birth chart in front of everyone?” But I was completely wrong.
The workshop takes place inside a hidden private room called the “Chamber of Light” at the back of the store. Getting inside feels a bit like those movie scenes where a secret room is hidden behind a bookshelf.
Inside, the atmosphere felt calm and relaxing, almost like a spa. The room smelled softly of incense Chayakorn had prepared and there were just 2 chairs with a small table between us.
So why did I find the “Finding Birth Crystal” workshop interesting? Normally, whenever I buy crystals, I just pick the prettiest one and hope it magically fixes my life. But apparently, choosing crystals based on your birth chart is believed to help amplify the energy you actually need most.
Besides this workshop, which they host regularly every month, the shop runs other spiritual workshops too. One of them is “Divine Guidance with Pendulum”, where you can learn how to use pendulums to connect with your intuition and spiritual energy.
On top of that, this place is pet-friendly. They even host workshops where you can join together with your pets to “sync” your energy.
The stars had a lot to say
The session started with Chayakorn asking for my date of birth, birthplace, and birth time before suddenly putting my entire life on the screen.
But before you roll your eyes and call this superstitious, Chayakorn explained that Uranian astrology is actually heavily based on mathematics and calculations. Originating from the Hamburg School of Astrology in Germany, the system was developed in the early 20th century by Alfred Witte, a German engineer who wanted to combine astrology with mathematical precision.
Instead of simply telling you that you’re a Taurus or Libra, it looks at exact planet positions, degrees, and energy patterns to understand your personality and which crystals could help enhance your energy.
Chayakorn told me he first became interested in Tarot cards and astrology after going through heartbreak. Then during the Covid-19 pandemic, he became deeply interested in Uranian astrology and eventually brought that knowledge into the “Finding Your Birth Crystal” workshop.
Anyway, as someone who already believes in astrology, I didn’t fully understand all the calculations on the screen. At that point, I was just thinking, okay but can you tell me about my future already?

The stars spilled the tea
After entering all my birth details, Chayakorn explained that he would first go through my chart before letting me ask questions later. They even served me a glass of peach tea while the reading started, which somehow made the whole experience feel more like a spa session than fortune telling.
The first thing he talked about was my personality. Apparently, even though I’m a Taurus, my ascendant sign is Libra. According to him, I’m sensitive, creative and someone who hates doing things the same way as everyone else.
Then came the career reading. Without even telling him what I do for work, he said I’m naturally suited to content creation and could become well-known from it in the future. I’m not sure whether the “famous” part will actually happen, but I’ll take it.
To be fair, this was probably the part I cared about the least because I already know what I’m good at. Still, hearing that the career path I’m currently on supposedly matches my chart felt strangely comforting.
Love will find the way
I’m not going to explain everything he told me about finances or other parts of my life because I already feel pretty happy with where I am right now. The part I cared about most was my love life.
I’ve been single for almost two years and I actually don’t go to fortune tellers that often because I’m always nervous they’ll tell me I’m destined to be single forever.
But what he told me gave me a lot of encouragement. According to him, I do have a soulmate. He said the person will probably be older than me and that I’ll meet him through work. So if you’re a single man reading this right now – hello, I’m here.
I still don’t know whether any of this will actually come true, but the moment he started talking about love, I suddenly had a million follow-up questions.
Towards the end of the reading, he talked about the “highlights” of my year ahead and apparently love was one of them. Hearing that alone already made me feel over the moon.
After the reading, Chayakorn wrote down all the crystals believed to enhance my energy. Some were connected to my zodiac sign, while others were meant to support career success and good fortune.
Then I walked back out into the shop to look at all the stones and pick the ones that matched me. And yes, out of all the options, the one I ended up buying was obviously the crystal connected to love.
Is finding a birth crystal workshop worth it?
I know astrology is probably not something science can prove. But as someone who believes in fortune telling, I think this workshop is worth trying, but even if you don’t believe in fortune telling, take it as a positive-energy reset, anyway. Especially these days, when scrolling through social media can feel exhausting with so much negative news and chaotic energy everywhere. Whether it came from the reading, the crystals or simply the calming atmosphere, I left feeling lighter and more hopeful.
One thing I always tell people is that I love fortune telling, but only when it tells me my future is going to be good. Somehow, hearing positive things about the future makes me feel like there’s still hope, even if the predictions may or may not come true.
At the end of the day, we’re still the ones who decide our future. So instead of treating fortune telling as something you must completely believe in, maybe it’s better to see it as a little guide that helps you move through life with more confidence and positive energy
