The Brugger-Singh family has heard many good things about Nexus International School (Singapore), and they’re happy to share that it’s all true!
We’ve heard many lovely things about Nexus International School (Singapore), from its innovative learning approach to its celebration of diversity. Aside from these, the school prioritises building good relationships within its community and student wellbeing. These initiatives even won it the Student Wellbeing Award in our Singapore Education Awards 2023! As such, it’s not surprising to hear from many families that Nexus has made their children very happy, including the Brugger-Singh family. Here’s what Malavika Singh and Marc Brugger have to say about their daughters’ time at Nexus.
Hi Malavika and Marc, can you share with us how you found out about Nexus?
We had a friend who recommended Nexus to us. Her daughter was studying there and their family is very happy with the school. We decided to check it out for ourselves to see if it’s a good fit for our daughters Janya and Kimaya.
What was it that made you decide to enrol Janya and Kimaya at Nexus?
Rene from Nexus’ Admissions team gave us a very thorough guided tour of the school. We met some learners during the tour, and we’re impressed by how Rene knew each of their names! We knew then that this is the right school for the girls. True enough, our daughters’ teachers were extremely warm and welcoming, and have been supportive right from the beginning. They’ve made the girls feel so welcomed when they just started school at Nexus.
What’s your family’s favourite aspect of the school?
The girls love the activities that are integrated into the curriculum, be it sports or arts related. They also love their teachers and enjoy attending every class.
For us, it has to be the faculty. They’re pretty spot on, and able to resolve any issues we raise quite quickly. We also love that the school delivers the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
All of us also agree that Nexus’ facilities are top notch, our family is very happy with what the school has to offer.
Is there a community for parents at Nexus?
Yes, the school has a very active parent community called the Nexus Community Group. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We’re proud to be Nexus parents!
Any advice for parents who are still looking for the perfect school for their children?
A happy child is a willing student. Learning shouldn’t be a chore for them, but something that they enjoy. We couldn’t recommend Nexus enough: seeing your children wanting to attend school every single day and coming home happy, I think that says it all!
Thank you for sharing with us, Malavika and Marc!
