This shocking fact alone should have us all considering alternatives, especially when taking into consideration that most wet wipes still contain non-biodegradable plastic. And we all know what that’s doing for the marine life and Mother Earth in general… So what can we do to help rid the planet of toppling towers of discarded wipes? Here are some alternatives to try in a quest to rid the world of unnecessary disposable wipes.
Eco-friendly alternatives to baby wipes in Singapore
1. Washable wipes

These bad boys are way bigger than a conventional wipe and come on a tear-off roll containing 200 of the genius creations that also double up as nappy liners. Just add good ol’ fashioned water to turn them from a dry wipe to a wet wipe. Sadly we’ve not been able to find a stockist in Singapore, but after a lot of scouring of the World Wide Web, we’re pleased to say you don’t have to move to the UK to buy them after all as you can get them from Amazon with shipping to Singapore.
4. Organic cotton balls
When we were small, chances are our own mums cleaned us up with cotton wool (and moved on to the old spit on a tissue clean up method when we were a bit older: bleugh). But while bog standard cotton wool is no better for the environment than a mountain of baby wipes, the organic types with a dash of water work a treat.
