We’re all about awesome outdoor activities for the kiddos, and when we are not hopping on our bikes for rustic adventures, checking out fun farms or hitting-up our favourite playgrounds, then we are thinking about the next way to wear out the kids with some high-energy plans. We’ve come up with just the thing: family fun runs and kids’ dash races in Singapore! These events are suitable for kids of all ages, so tip those teens out of bed, tie on your toddlers’ sneakers and ready, steady… Go!
1. What better place to wear out your little monkeys than by running around the zoo on the 2.5km Safari Zoo Run 2017? Bananas optional.
2. Whatever your reason for running, the whole family can take part in Run For Hope’s 3.5km Family Run. Little legs of all ages are welcome and under 4’s run (or more likely get carried for) free!
3. Kiddos age six and up can join the OSIM Sundown 5km Earth Hour Run – this one is a must if you fancy laughing and pointing at my first attempt at an actual run (I generally refuse to run even for a bus…)
4. We’re all about doing what we can to help save polar bears, encouraging urban gardening and cutting down on food wastage, so we’re loving the idea of a fun activity that promotes environmental issues. Mini-sprinters from age four can make a run for it in the Income Eco Run 2017’s 800m Kids’ Dash.
5. Don’t let your young Padawans know about this one just yet: details are yet to be confirmed. Put the Star Wars Run on your radar, register your interest and then use your Jedi mind powers to persuade the organisers to include a kid-friendly fun run option!
6. When it comes to supermarket shopping in Singapore, we know that Cold Storage never lets us down for tasty treats and gluten-free goodies, but did you know it serves up a fun run for kids every year too? The tenth edition of the Cold Storage Kids’ Run is back in May: hurrah!
7. Join Shrek, Hiccup, Puss et al for the first DreamWorks Day here in Singapore, and get kids age four and up off of the couch and into action for the fun-packed Kid’s Dash.
