Launched in 2018, The Grange Institution (TGI) – an International Primary School, has a diverse learning environment with 18 different nationalities represented across 3 year levels in just its third year of school. The Grange is designed and conceptualised to be a small family school to support overseas families and their children in Singapore.
As the only international school in Singapore to deliver both the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Cambridge International Primary Curriculum, the school offers a balanced blend of both rigorous structured subject learning and inquiry-based thematic learning. Our balanced and holistic international education also includes Personal, Social & Physical Education (PSPE), Music, Art and Technology, in addition to providing opportunities for students to learn Mandarin and Japanese languages.
At The Grange, we believe quality education is the first step to inspiring our future leaders. We do this by providing a dynamic and creative environment, inspiring excellence, and developing respectful, responsible and innovative members of society.
For students who don’t speak English, we offer Additional English Language classes to students who may benefit from additional support.

What Sets This School Apart
Our unique Cre8tors-in-Action educational philosophy is the DNA of our Grange Kids, whom we envisioned would become “creators” with 8 core competencies (in Construction and Design, Respecting the Environment, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Active Citizenship, Teamwork and Partnership, Original Ideas, Recognising Issues and Service Leadership) that will prepare them for to become effective global citizens.
At TGI, we work through collaboration with industry professionals with the aim to offer truly unique Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), urban farming, architecture, entrepreneurship and model United Nations (MUN) experiences to our students within our curriculum time, and also make available a range of options in our co-curricular offerings, such as Taiko-Drumming, Parkour, Cheerleading, Green Granger, etc.
Exciting New Developments
The school have recently invested into establishing a multi-prong “Green Granger” initiative. Our student DIY projects hope to inculcate students to develop a genuine love for plants and to experiment with planting even at home. We continue to greenify our school compound by increasing the amount of green foliage in an attempt to bring greenery even into the indoor spaces. Our Eco-Garden will feature a specially curated food forest to mimic the structure of a natural forest in the hope to support students’ Science learning about plants and faunas in the tropical region. Work has begun on our urban farming project where we have hired a professional farmer to grow suitable greens in support of our Garden-to-Table project where students can taste fresh and organic vegetables, fruits and edible flowers for snacks at school.
Our other innovative approach is to bring in an arKIDtect programme where we have partnered two working architects to work with our teachers to introduce the concept of living spaces, buildings and architecture, and the design process to further enhance our students’ learning in some of our interesting Units of Learning.
In March, TGI will also be launching its preschool arm – The Grange International Preschool which caters to children from 3 to 5 years old.
