Established in 2011, this truly international school has helped many young people achieve their best – and we’re not just talking about exam scores. From winning medals on the sports field and pool, to building apps that solve real-world problems, read on to see what Nexus International School (Singapore)’s learners have achieved over the years.
15 years old: when you think of the age as a parent, you’d probably get a mental image of a tech-savvy gen alpha teen who’s curious and always up for trying new things.
But what comes to mind when we tell you about an international school that just turned 15? Nexus International School (Singapore) is celebrating its 15th anniversary in Singapore, and here’s the thing – it shares some similar traits with its gen alpha students as well. This is one school that’s always ahead of the curve when it comes to using technology to enhance learning. But more importantly, just like its learners, Nexus is creative and is always up for new challenges.
So what have Nexus learners achieved with the schools’ innovative approach to teaching and learning? Let’s take a look at the school’s achievements in the past 15 years.
Perfect IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) scorers in the past two years
Using innovative teaching, personalised guidance with multiple check-ins, it’s no surprise that Nexus learners have consistently performed well in the IB and, an international curriculum that’s known for its academic rigour.
Nexus has had one learner scoring perfect 45/45 for the IBDP in 2025, followed by two perfect scorers from the recent 2026 cohort. The school’s average IBDP score is 35.8, which is well above the global average.
In the 2026 IGCSEs, half of the grades awarded were 9-7 or A*-A across disciplines in maths, science, and languages.
Nexus learners excel in sports and on stage too

It’s never all work and no play at Nexus – the school includes weekly swimming lessons into the curriculum, and the school’s swim team is particularly impressive. It has swimmers who represent different national teams (including France, Russia, and Vietnam) and a graduate athlete who competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics. All thanks to guidance by expert coaches (the likes of former Olympians), and the learners’ hard work, training up to 20 hours per week in the pool!

Just like swimming, lessons in the arts are part of the mandatory curriculum. Primary school learners take music and visual arts lessons; while drama is part of the curriculum for those in Years 7-9. All lessons are taught by specialist teachers, with opportunities to showcase their artwork and talent through concerts on-campus and beyond (Nexus learners have performed at Chijmes and Singapore Botanic Gardens), as well as the annual school productions.
The school even encourages learners to solve real-world problems

It takes more than just creative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset for young people to create products and tools to tackle real-world issues like sustainability and gender equality; you need empathy too. And this is where I personally think Nexus excels.
From a sustainability-focused card game and eye care kit that won the school top honours at the JA Company of the Year competition, to the 2025 Nexus Hackathon that saw learners pitch apps and tools with real social impact – you can tell that these young people are putting what they learned to good use.
The school’s diversity plays an important part in driving this. With over 60 nationalities represented and none exceeding 20% of the school population, Nexus is a truly international school where everyone can find their sense of belonging. When children feel that they belong and included, they feel safer, learn better, and can really thrive.
A very happy 15th birthday to Nexus
