Looking for outfit inspo? If you're busy Googling 'what to wear to the Taylor Swift concert in Singapore' but you can't wait for delivery, then you've come to the right place!
Swifties take note! In a matter of days, Taylor Swift will be gracing the stage in Singapore. We’ve been searching the shops for the perfect Eras Tour outfits for ourselves and our lucky kiddos who are joining us at the concert. Here are our favourite places to shop for the cutest concert ‘fits, and all the finishing touches (don’t forget your friendship bracelets!). Are you ready for it?
1. Taylor Swift Eras Tour merch – Marina Bay Sands pop up and activations + get in early at Singapore Sports Hub
Yes, you read that right. There’s a merch pop-up store happening at Marina Bay Sands, so you can get your hands on TS-approved hoodies, concert tees, shirts, drink bottles, canvas prints and more! Pair some merch with jean shorts or a cute sequin skirt, and you’re Eras Tour ready! Pssst… Head down in the evening and you can see the brand new Taylor-inspired Spectra water and light show. There’s even TS projections on the underside of MBS to marvel at, and a Taylor Trail to follow for gram-worthy snaps.
Haven’t managed to score a ticket to the concert? You can still buy merch. Singapore Sports Hub have shown us where the merch stalls will be set up, and some are accessible to the public without a ticket. We’re keeping an eye out for opening times for merch sales – DM us if you hear anything! Note that overnight queuing is not allowed.
2. In our Lover era – Karma is a tinsel jacket from local brand Allybil Studio
We love to support local whenever we can, and the team at Allybil Studio are making all of our karma tinsel-jacket dreams come true! While they are usually found creating masterpieces on Etsy, you can pick one up for yourself at a pop up at Haji Lane. DM through the Allybil Studio website if you are keen!
3. Hunt for glam fits at Glamorous Giving – more than 55 local brands in one place this weekend!
29 February and 1 March, *SCAPE Orchard
Glamorous Giving is one of our favourite fairs to visit in Singapore, with loads of local brands all under one roof. We are sure to find some eras-worthy gems here, and the best bit is you’ll be supporting a small biz while dressing to see one of the biggest superstars on the planet! We’ll be stopping by The Bright Campaign for a super cute clutch to hold our phone and lipgloss while we dance the night away. Floaty dresses in a rainbow of colours will be on show from Indii Breeze. There’ll also be loads more fashion and accessories for inspo (and we’ll combine this with some homewares shopping while we’re at it!) See you there!
4. Be ‘the man’ in Love, Bonito
Love, Bonito, helmed by the ever-inspiring Singaporean mumpreneur Rachel Lim, is one of our go-to’s for elegant party ‘fits, and these can be adapted for Taylor! We spotted some cute linen blazers in a lavender (haze) colour palette, and an ‘it’s my era’ cap to match. You’ll also find some sweet party dresses with built-in padded bras, that are perfect for teens.
Best bit: There’s a sale on right now, with up to 70% off over 2,500 different styles! Shop in store for details.
5. Must-haves in Mango
Mango is one of our favourite places for a touch of party sparkle, without being gaudy. Right now, there’s a small sale section in some of the larger stores (we spotted this at Wisma Atria). If you’re lucky, you might find a few leftover pieces from the festive season that add a touch of shine. Think sequin cami tops, pleather pants, and silver shorts!
Mango also have some cool blazers at the moment that are definitely giving folklore / evermore album vibes. Pair these with wide leg pants and boots to finish the look.
6. Every era is covered at H&M
The H&M kids and tween / teen section is always a favourite for punk rock looks for the littles! From cute band tees and grungy flannel shirts (hello Folklore!), to sparkly tops and dresses, most eras are covered in this store! We even spotted a look-alike 22 hat, although that has probably flown off the shelves by now.
7. Up the sparkle with Steve Madden shoes (and concert-friendly sneakers)
So what shoes do you wear with all of this amazing fashion fit for a Swiftie? While we are in love with Taylor’s customised Louboutin boots, for some of us they are a little outside our modest budgets. Add to this, if you can’t face a three-and-a-half-hour concert in heels (no thank you!) We have an alternative for you that will go with any Eras outfit. Check out the gorgeous sparkly sneakers from Steve Madden. Prices start from around S$129, but we want to wear these all year round so they aren’t just a splurge for the concert!
8. Get crafty at Spotlight and make your own Taylor Swift inspired Eras concert outfit!
Stock up on some glitter, crystals, sequins, tinsel, shiny fabrics and a cowboy hat, all available from Spotlight, and you have the makings of a bespoke concert outfit! Even if it means jazzing up a plain dress or T shirt, now is the time to call on all your crafty talent and put it to good use. While you’re there, make sure you stock up on beads and stretchy thread for your friendship bracelets!
9. Finishing touches – a Taylor Swift album manicure, glam, and friendship bracelets
No Taylor Swift Eras Tour outfit is complete without an album-inspired manicure on the nails and an armful of friendship bracelets! For the mani, each nail represents a different album (or era). You’ll need ten different colours for this, so it might be easier to book into a nail salon or have a nail artist come to your home. The bracelets are best hand made with love. Stock up on beads at a craft store (we love the selection at Spotlight and Shinobeads at People’s Park Centre), and get threading!
Don’t forget your Swiftie inspired make up! We’ve seen loads of beautiful winged eyeliner, signature Taylor-red lipstick, and face gems adorning Swiftie fans at the concerts. Have fun with it, and get ready to shine – sparkle never goes out of ‘Style’ after all.
See you at the Taylor Swift Eras Concert in Singapore!
