Hot off the heels of its centenary celebration, Tanglin Trust School is wow-ing with three Gold awards this year! Read all about how it’s making waves with its stellar British education, future-ready philosophy, and more.
If there’s a school that doesn’t rest on its laurels, we’d bet a pretty penny that it’s none other than Tanglin Trust School. Established in 1925, the school has a strong 100-year history. What a feat! It marked this momentous centenary milestone with a celebration for the history books, including events like the Centenary Concert at the Esplanade. It doesn’t stop there: Tanglin has also just clinched not one, but three, Gold awards in our latest Singapore Education Awards!
Tanglin wins Singapore International School of the Year again
This makes Tanglin a two-time Gold winner of the Singapore International School of the Year category in the awards. This international school stands out among others, and it’s not hard to see why. It continues to reimagine and innovate its spaces and buildings to offer its students nothing but the best. The Junior Arts Centre opened its doors just this year, together with its new 15-acre Tanglin Gippsland campus in Australia.

To keep its students up to date, Tanglin’s curriculum has been recently updated as well. Dance was introduced to students in Junior School to enhance its holistic and well-rounded offerings to students. The inaugural Highlands programme was an exciting addition to its Senior School as well, which allows students to spend five weeks at Tanglin Gippsland in Australia, experiencing a unique blend of outdoor experiential learning. This allows the school to equip its students with skills – such as teamwork, confidence, and resilience – that will stay with them for life.
It’s also the International School with the Most Future-Ready Students for the fourth consecutive year

That’s right – Tanglin is tops (and a Gold winner) at nurturing future-ready students. Students are given valuable opportunities to address real-world problems; for example, the Tanglin Finance Conference gives Senior students a platform to deep-dive into the future of global economics. Students were also given the opportunity to ponder about the impact of AI on their future through Dr Ayesha Khanna’s, a global AI expert, keynote speech in The Institute at Tanglin’s Centenary Speaker series. On top of that, Tanglin students are often the star of the show at global STEM competitions, with Tanglin students reaching the global finals of the STEM Racing in Schools competition hosted in Singapore during the 2025 F1 week.

Tanglin is continuing to embed sustainable measures and practices throughout the school. It did a school-wide audit of its carbon footprint in 2024, and actively does all it can to be kinder to the planet. Green practices are inculcated right from the start, with the young ones in its Infant School becoming ‘Planet Protectors’ all the way to its Sixth Formers’ Sustainability Action Group. Impressively, this group takes the reins of the annual student-led Sustainability Conference! Countless leadership opportunities await its students, including student-led initiatives like TEDx talks and the annual Whole School Hackathon.
Tanglin wins Gold for The Curriculum Awards (British) for the second time too

The entire school — from Nursery to Sixth Form — follows a stellar British curriculum. Tanglin’s Nursery curriculum is aligned with the UK Early Years Programme, and is the first school in Asia to have the Curiosity Approach teaching practice accolade (which was recently reaccredited in April 2025). The English Speaking Board qualification is a highlight of Junior School, whilst its Senior School lays the foundation for the British-based IGCSE in Year 11. The results speak for themselves: in 2025, 60% of GCSE students were awarded A*, with 93% scoring A*-B grades. At A Level, 63% scored A or A* as well, which is more than double of the UK average of 28.2%.
That’s not all: Tanglin is the only school in Singapore to be inspected by the UK Department for Education’s British Schools Overseas framework, and received the highest possible grade of Outstanding for all of its three schools. Students strive to achieve the popular Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and have the opportunities to test their wits in competitions like the UK Maths and Physics Olympiads. To widen their horizons, they are even regularly treated to talks and sessions with British artists, authors, and former Olympians.
Why we love Tanglin
From impressive academic results to nurturing future-ready students, Tanglin has indeed proven itself to be a top-notch school that’s not only well-loved by its whole community, but one that will help its students excel in all areas of life. Our heartiest congratulations once again!
