FAQ and things to know before you go:

1. What is the Singapore Night Festival 2025?
The Singapore Night Festival is an arts and culture event held across the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct, featuring illuminated experiences, light installations, alongside performances and other interactive displays. This year’s theme of Island Nights, brings more than 80 light installations and experiences to the three-week festival.
2. When and where does the festival takes place?
Singapore Night Festival 2025 runs from 22 August – 6 September across the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct. Visitors can explore the festival by walking between landmarks and open spaces to experience the installations and programmes.
3. Is the Singapore Night Festival free to attend?
Most of the installations and programming are free. Certain performances, workshops, or experiences may require ticketing. Please check the SNF website for programming details.
4. Is the Singapore Night Festival a family-friendly event?
Absolutely! Many installations are visually captivating and some of them are interactive, making it fun for children to explore. Some installations feature strobing lights and bright neon lights, which may be overwhelming for children who are sensitive to bright lights. Parents, do take note!
5. Is there a lot of walking to do?
The festival is mainly outdoors and installations are spread out across the BBB precinct. Expect to walk between venues, so make sure to wear your comfiest shoes and consider bringing your strollers. Plan for breaks in between. Since the festival runs for three weeks, you can take your time by planning shorter routes across multiple days to cover all the highlights.
6. What should I bring to the Singapore Night Festival?
Wear light and breathable clothing (we live in humid Singapore!), put on comfy shoes, and pack your water bottles and light snacks. There’re shops and cafes along the way, so even if you forget them, you can easily refuel along the way. Since it’s an outdoor festival, bring along your umbrellas in case of sudden showers.
7. Is the festival ground accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?
Yes, most of the areas are well-paved and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. At Cathay Green, where the Sky Castle is located, the ground is an open field with plastic flooring. It might not be the smoothest push but it is still manageable with some care.
8. What’s the best time to visit with kids?
For the most magical experience, visit after sunset (around 7.30pm) when the illuminations look best. Consider visiting other indoor venues and programmes before heading to the outdoor installations after dark.
