We are a co-educational school with a Lasallian Catholic foundation offering a holistic, values-driven, international educational experience to a truly diverse student body of around 45 nationalities rooted in the context of Singapore. Our community welcomes students, teachers, parents, friends and supporters of all faiths and cultural backgrounds.
Character education forms the essence of our Mission to enable students to learn how to learn and to live as Lasallian people for others. Our commitment extends beyond academic excellence to equip our students with the values and skills essential for becoming compassionate and responsible global citizens.
Learning at SJI International Elementary School involves challenging and inspiring experiences inside, and ever-frequently outside, the classroom. Character development and academic excellence are valued and fostered with equal importance, nurturing a sense of self-worth and promoting a genuine love for learning amongst our students.
We offer two distinctive curriculum pathways: the Mainstream Programme, which emphasises English as the primary language of instruction, ensuring a strong foundation in the language, while also incorporating Mandarin lessons as a valuable component of the weekly timetable. On the other hand, our Bilingual Programme provides an immersive dual-language experience, with instruction delivered in both English and Chinese. This pathway fosters bilingualism, offering students a unique opportunity to develop proficiency in both languages from an early age.
Whichever pathway is chosen, our dedicated educators are committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment that nurtures the academic and linguistic growth of each student.
Our school creates a nurturing environment for students to meet their fullest potential. The Virtues Project™ is used at SJI International Elementary School as a vehicle to make the school values accessible for the children. The Virtues Project™ is based on the beliefs and virtues valued by diverse cultures and world religions, and its mission is to provide empowering strategies that inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life.
