Fun activities galore on Saturday, 5 July!
Drop-off’s can be emotional and upsetting experiences for kids and parents. It makes it so much easier when you know that your child is entering a place that is filled with joy and that 30 seconds after you walk out the door, your little one will be too. We know the place: Learning Vision.
Learning Vision has created their entire curriculum and environment with joy at its centres. The reason is simple – they believe that learning is best achieved through happiness. Sounds good to us! If you like the sound of your child learning and playing in a fun and positive preschool too then pop on down to Learning Vision’s Open Day on 5 July to see it first hand. In the meantime, here’s some great info that will have you loving the place even before you set foot through the door:
Lovely guiding philosophy
The philosophy of Learning Vision is based on the premise that every child is competent, capable, and possesses innate abilities and unique talents that can be nurtured.
Encouraging independence and curiosity
The school curriculum for both infants and toddlers is child-centred, which means that children are the protagonist and initiate their own learning. They are encouraged to explore their curiosity and get involved in hands-on learning experiences with their peers. Teachers act as facilitators rather than solution-providers, and provide resources and tools to aid learning.
Enjoying the journey
It’s not all about the destination. Here, the journey is highly valued and comprises a core tenet of the school’s educational approach. At Learning Vision, emphasis on the process of learning is central to teaching because if the journey is compelling, then the destination takes care of itself. So opportunities to explore, experiment, inquire, investigate, and interact are always present.
Holistic learning approach
A wheel of overlapping developmental areas ensure that concepts taught, be it the seasons, the body, the world around us or the animal kingdom, filter through all areas to provide a thorough and immersive learning experience. The Wheel comprises seven spokes, including: numeracy, environmental and community awareness, technology, and creative expressions.
Family collaboration
This is not a closed classroom: parents can be actively involved in their child’s learning. Learning Vision promotes meaningful and collaborative home-centre partnerships and you can be sure to be across your child’s progress and well being every step of the way.
Strong community endorsement
Learning Vision has 25 years of excellence in early childhood education. With centres all around the island, the school is well known for partnering with companies, institutions, and is a learning provider of choice for government agencies.
Doors wide open
On Saturday, 5 July, 10am to 2pm, come down to selected Learning Vision centres and check out the facilities and educational programmes while your little one enjoys an interactive story-telling session of Eric Carle’s bestselling children’s book, “Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?”. While they’re happily engaged learning colours, listening skills, and visual memory skills, you can take a look around and really get to know the staff and curriculum. It may be hard to leave though: kids will want to get into the face-painting and put on cat whiskers or a cute snout for some animal role play! Register here.
