Overseas Family School’s newly launched Prestigious University Program has already seen record numbers of offers for its students from top universities from around the world.
University applications aren’t exactly the easiest processes to navigate. It also tends to get more complicated when your child is applying to the Ivy League, Oxbridge, or any of the world’s top universities. Processes aside, the admissions criteria get more competitive every year, which means there’s absolutely zero room for errors in your application.
To help its high-performing students realise their Ivy League and Oxbridge dreams, Overseas Family School (OFS) extended its support framework to launch a Prestigious University Program (PUP). Though new, this programme has already proven successful as OFS has seen a record number of offers from top global universities for its 2023 cohort.
How does OFS’ new Prestigious University Program help students?
The Prestigious University Program, or PUP, is specifically designed to help OFS students with their applications to elite universities. The school also has a dedicated Oxbridge Program for students who are applying to top universities in the UK.
All OFS high school students are assigned an academic advisor as early as when they’re in Grade 9. The PUP and Oxbridge Programs take it one step further by providing personalised support and guidance to students who are shortlisted for elite universities applications. On top of career and university counselling, both programmes focus on every aspect of the shortlisted students’ university applications. This includes suggesting appropriate extracurricular activities, providing feedback on application essays, analysing the profiles of successful Ivy League and Oxbridge entrants, as well as coaching for interviews. All these are done to maximise a student’s chances of gaining admission into their top universities of choice.
Here’s what OFS’ alumni have to say about the programmes
With such comprehensive support, it’s no wonder that OFS’ PUP has successfully made so many students’ university dreams come true. Alumni Joshua Ho, Ashwath Nerlekar, and Minjae Park have benefitted from the programme and will soon be furthering their studies at two Ivy League universities and the University of Cambridge. All of them have great things to say about OFS’ new programme.
Joshua mentioned that he’s grateful for the PUP, as it gave him a “reality check” that drove him to better prepare for the SATs and final IB exams while expanding on his extracurricular activities to boost his application for Brown University. Minjae, on the other hand, appreciates the weekly meetings he had with his academic advisor to review and polish his university application. Last but not least, Ashwath felt that being in the same environment with other shortlisted OFS students inspired him to work towards his dreams of studying at Dartmouth College.
