Academic programs at Overseas Family School are rigorous and thoughtfully-designed. We take great pride in our students’ academic achievements. Our highly-acclaimed International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programs (IB MYP and IB DP) immerse students in a wide range of stimulating course offerings designed to help them make practical connections between their learning and the outside world. With a 98% pass rate, OFS has produced students scoring a perfect 45 points for 8 years running and its IB results well surpass world averages. In 2022, an impressive 37% of the diplomas were also prestigious IB Bilingual Diplomas, reflecting the exceptional language resources and support available at OFS. These results are especially remarkable in light of OFS’ inclusive, open-entry admissions and exams policies. Because it believes that every student can succeed, OFS students are not preselected into the Diploma program. Any student who wishes to pursue the IB Diploma program is allowed and encouraged to do so, making this one of the most inclusive IB Diploma programs offered in Singapore.

The OFS Tigers Swim Team recently competed at the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships (SNAG). The entire team competed across a breath-taking 137 events over the course of 9 gruelling days, breaking school records whilst competing amongst the very best of the best swimmers in Singapore. The OFS Tigers Swim Team now has multiple swimmers who are nationally ranked amongst the top swimmers in the country!

In the upcoming academic year, OFS is also excited to be adding IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science (IB SEHS) to its course offerings. IB SEHS is a comprehensive course exploring the science of human movement and athletic performance. It will combine aspects of the study of anatomy, exercise physiology, energy systems, movement analysis, skill in sport and the measurement and evaluation of human performance to develop a rich knowledge of the science behind sports and exercise.

Unlike many international schools, OFS’ commitment to equal access means that we do not preselect students for admission into IB classes and exams. Students and parents can select the courses best suited to them. Similarly, our sports program caters to elite athletes and recreational players alike. There are many opportunities to compete at intra-school and inter-school levels.
