This international school is introducing the first coworking space within a school in Singapore…
Picture this: you’re dropping your kiddo off at school and watch as they run to join their friends on the school’s play deck. You linger a little longer just so you can give them a final wave, then turn to leave. But instead of heading for the school gates, you make your way towards a coworking space within the campus to set up your laptop, and start working.
That’s right parents, working from your child’s school is now made possible by Nexus International School (Singapore). As part of its efforts to build a cohesive community for both learners and parents, the school has a full-fledged coworking facility for parents to work at. This is especially great news for parents who are in need of work spaces, especially if they’re new to Singapore.
These coworking spaces aren’t just boring old desks either – they come with meeting rooms, private cubicles, and other first-class facilities that are designed to make working convenient and comfortable for parents. Need a caffeine fix? Nexus’ Eco Cafe is nearby so you can grab a coffee or snack while you work (with safe management measures, of course).
Being a forward-thinking school, Nexus is constantly thinking of ways to allow its community of learners and parents to collaborate and innovate together. Its entrepreneurial nature helps Nexus realise that there’s a need of coworking spaces among parents, which prompted the school to build these spaces to meet this need.
Watch out for more updates on their new coworking spaces via Nexus’ website, Nexus’ Facebook page; or if you’d like to visit the campus for yourself, you can always book a tour!
