Jump for joy! There’s a new trampoline joint in town and we bounced our way there to review the fun…
If your kids are forever bouncing off your walls with their crazy energy then we have great news for you: Singapore has a new trampoline park in town! So if you are looking for things to do during the school holidays, put BOUNCE on your list. We took a full-of-beans eight-year-old, and a four-year-old live wire for a road test.
BOUNCE has jumped into town and into a 2,000 square metre space of pure fun over at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. With over 100 interconnecting trampolines, a ninja warrior-style challenge course and a 5-metre platform jump, aka ‘the leap of faith’, this new indoor play park is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages. Adults too!
We loved that the various zones are geared towards different ages and abilities: the junior jump zone and slam-dunk dodgeball court were particular hits with our two intrepid reporters. Sadly our four-year-old was too small for the X Park (a challenge course full of balance bridges, climbing walls and rope swings), but thankfully had plenty of wall running to try, and a giant inflatable bag to fling himself into. For those of you with acrobatic kids, there are special ‘performance’ trampoline areas designed for your somersaulting, aerial daredevils.
We also loved that the staff (of which there are plenty) were really hands-on and help the kids enjoy maximum fun while encouraging little ones to try some new moves. The extra good news is that the number of jumpers per area is very much limited, which minimises the chance of your tot getting into an aerial accident with another child! The downside though, as ever with these super-popular places, was that queue times were a little tedious as the place filled up.
Would we go again? Absolutely yes! The central location, the great staff, creatively designed equipment and all round fun has put BOUNCE well up there on our ‘things to do on a rainy day’ list for sure.
