HoneyKids joined students from MSIS for a morning of foodie fun at Jamie's Italian Singapore
HoneyKids was lucky to share a morning of foodie fun with the students of Melbourne Specialist International School at Jamie’s Italian Singapore. It was all in support of Food Revolution Day, a worldwide movement kick started by chef Jamie Oliver, whose mission is to ensure every child has access to good, nutritious food. Families all over the world are invited to join the Food Revolution at home by making positive changes to their diet, encouraging kids to have a healthy relationship with food, and teaching them what good food really is.
The message of the day was the importance of starting the day well with a healthy breakfast – so the children mixed their own muesli with fruits. During the session, the kids also explored the tastes and aromas of freshly picked herbs from the restaurant’s garden, and learned how pasta is made. One of the highlights was playing with fresh spaghetti, straight out of the pasta maker!
This is the second year that the kids from MSIS have been invited to Jamie’s Italian to have some hands-on fun with food – and the big smiles on the day proved it was a huge success.
