What if we told you that there’s a school in Singapore with a Magical Garden, and within that garden there are Magical Garden Friends that children can learn alongside with? You and your kids will have the chance to meet them this 21 November!
Once upon a time, there’s an international school in Singapore with a Magical Garden of its own. And in this Magical Garden live five friends – Aunty Ant, Betty Butterfly, Charlie Caterpillar, Marty Moth, and Sally Spider – all of them fun-loving bugs who love nothing more than to explore their garden and learn new things.
There’s also another thing these Magical Garden Friends love, and that is to make new friends! So they’re hosting a Magical Garden Party this 21 November, with music, games, and lots of other fun activities for everyone.
The good news? You and your kids are invited to attend the party! Here’s the enchanting deets.
Date: 21 November 2026
Time: 9.30am – 11.30am
Venue: Canadian International School, 7 Jurong West Street 41, Singapore 649414
What the Magical Garden Friends have in store for you and your family
More than just fun and games, the Magical Garden Party at Canadian International School (CIS) is a chance for you to see how the school brings lessons to life.
At CIS Kindergarten, lessons really do take place at a ‘magical garden’ – the award-winning 2,400 square metre outdoor discovery centre. The five ‘friends’ each represent a specific area of learning and development that are aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), with Aunty Ant being the expert in maths and science; Betty Butterfly the resident artist, Marty Moth is the go-to for languages and stories, and so on.
Together with the teachers, the Magical Garden Friends are preparing a selection of curated hands-on activities for the party. These activities are designed to encourage your little ones to question, experiment, communicate, and build new skills – just like how a CIS Kindergartener would during their daily lessons.
Betty Butterfly wants to make butterfly and caterpillar crowns with you

Step into Betty Butterfly’s art studio, where she has prepared lots of nature-inspired materials for you to craft your own crowns. Beyond arts and crafts, this session allows very little ones to work on their fine motor skills, experiment with different materials, and get confident in expressing themselves creatively.
Charlie Caterpillar invites you to run, jump, and tumble

The obstacle course is Charlie Caterpillar’s favourite place, and he wants to share it with his new friends. Let your kids challenge themselves here, as they climb, navigate, and adapt to age-appropriate obstacles. Physical education is part and parcel of the IBPYP, in which it believes active play can encourage children to think fast, learn through experience, as well as build independence and confidence to take on new challenges.
Aunty Ant teaches you maths and science the messy way

Aunty Ant does love some messy play; even more so when she gets to mix and measure sand and mud at her mud kitchen. Watch as your children mix sand and water together to get the ‘ideal’ sandcastle-building consistency. Observe as they dig a canal and try to get the water to flow. Little do they know, but they’re actually using scientific reasoning and mathematical concepts at play.
Sally Spider needs your help to build her web city
Encourage your kiddos to help Sally Spider expand her web city by weaving more webs. She welcomes webs in all shapes and sizes – she loves patterns! This is where children learn the concept of patterns and symmetry, which is key to helping them understand more complex mathematical concepts in the future, such as geometry.
Marty Moth has bilingual story sessions just for you
Chinese-English storytelling? Not a problem for Marty Moth. In fact, he can do French-English stories too! CIS offers not just one but two types of bilingual programmes for children as young as three years old. These storytelling sessions will give you an idea of how CIS Kindergarteners build their literacy skills, while learning about other cultures at the same time.
Save the date and come meet the Magical Garden Friends at CIS
Whether you’re looking for a preschool for your little one, or thinking of switching schools for your child – don’t miss this opportunity to experience what CIS has to offer. It’s the best way to see learning in action, and your child gets to get a taste of what it’s like to learn at this international school as well. Plus, a Magical Garden Party sounds like a great way to spend the Saturday morning with the whole fam!
