Bilingual and Multilingual teaching and learning are at the heart of an IFS education. IFS offers different language streams which follow the French national curriculum, leading to the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) and the French Baccalauréat. We have developed several language programmes for students with different proficiency, competencies and interests. These streams are designed to be flexible. Students can change and move across streams depending on their educational development and focus. IFS offers a language pathway of bilingual education in French and English with an introduction to Mandarin. They are embedded in the French National Education curriculum's structure and are offered to all Kindergarten (Maternelle) and Elementary (Elementaire) students. In addition, IFS offers an education programme for non-French speaking students who wish to gradually integrate into the regular school curriculum through our French language support programme. All these programmes aim to prepare and support student needs as they enter the later years of their educational journey within the French Curriculum.

The International French School (IFS) will open a new eco-friendly Kindergarten campus in Singapore in September 2025.
Designed around a “villa concept,” the new Kindergarten features interconnected classrooms and bright, open communal areas that encourage collaboration and independence. As Singapore’s first zero-energy kindergarten certified by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), it sets a new benchmark for sustainable education.
The campus is thoughtfully designed to support global sustainability goals while placing children at the heart of the learning experience. With a strong focus on curiosity, confidence, and emotional well-being, IFS’s new Kindergarten promotes a nurturing and forward-thinking environment for young learners.

Programs Available
Over seventy activities supervised by experienced coaches are offered to our students in French or in English. There are many possibilities. From Maternelle (kindergarten) onwards, students have the opportunity to sign up for sports, cultural, artistic, pedagogical activities and/or language workshops.
These activities allow students to discover and develop their talents and passions – be they athletic, intellectual or creative. These activities bring our students together by creating a common bond that forms the basis of the school culture and the IFS community by encouraging diversity and excellence.
Numerous inter-school (AEFE network), local and international sports and artistic events are organised. An opportunity for students to share their passions and challenge each other.
