We know that slow and steady wins the race between Hare and Tortoise, but is it also the case in this modern stage adaptation?

What’s Hare & Tortoise all about?
Just like in the fable, Harri (Hare) and Tatta (Tortoise) are in a race. But instead of competing against each other, the duo are racing as a team with the aim of winning it. The only problem is this: Harri and Tatta can’t seem to agree on anything at all! Harri is desperate to go faster, but Tatta can’t and doesn’t want to keep up.
However, their different abilities and race strategies are just one of the many hurdles they need to overcome. Harri and Tatta encounter other characters and challenges along the way until they take a wrong turn and end up stuck above the road in a construction site. Unable to move in any direction, can Harri and Tatta still win the race?
A thoughtful children’s play about embracing each other’s differences
More than just a fun theatre show for kids, Hare & Tortoise is a stage adaptation that takes into account the perception we have about speed in the modern world. We know that the fable says that slow and steady wins the race, but is this still the case in our winner-takes-all world?
The beautiful thing about this play is that it examines the concept of speed – what it means to be fast or slow – in kid-friendly terms, specially created for kids aged three and above. Besides that, it has an equally lovely message about understanding and respecting each other’s abilities as well as talents. Little theatregoers will be able to see how different abilities and perspectives can play an important part in problem-solving too!
