Dover Court International School’s Early Years programme is one that allows children to explore, grow, and belong – and you get to experience it for yourselves at its upcoming open day.
Every parent wants their children’s education journey to start on a positive note, and that’s why it’s crucial to find the right preschool. The early years set the foundation for our children’s schooling and learning experience. More importantly, it plays an essential role in supporting their overall development.
With that in mind, Dover Court International School has created a preschool that doesn’t just let children explore and learn according to their interests, but supports their development and helps them experience a sense of belonging from day one. Sounds amazing, right? Here’s everything you need to know about this nurturing preschool.
Children learn through purposeful play at Dover Court

We’re told that every day is filled with fun and laughter at Dover Court’s preschool. That’s because children are encouraged to follow their natural curiosity and learn through play. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is delivered through a Reggio-inspired approach, which allows children to lead how and what they learn. So your children could be tinkering with loose parts in the school’s atelier while a teacher guides them on numeracy skills; or explore the campus’ sensory garden to learn about biodiversity.
Luna Deller, the school’s Deputy Head of Primary explains, “In our Reggio-inspired Early Years classes, we combine a well-established EYFS curriculum with a purposely exploratory environment where children can learn through play. They are encouraged to ask questions and experiment in ways that matter to them.”
Every child is seen, heard, and valued in Dover Court
It goes without saying that children thrive in environments where they feel safe and supported. That’s why Dover Court’s dedicated teachers strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, known, and confident to learn. In fact, the school’s Early Years programme is aptly called NEST, which stands for ‘Nurturing Early Success Together’.
Aligned with the Reggio philosophy, the school’s teachers recognise children as competent and curious learners, and are trained to respond to their interests and needs. Working together with parents, this creates a supportive learning environment for the little ones, also helping them feel a sense of belonging which lays the foundation for both wellbeing and academic achievement.
Calm those nerves with the Stay and Play admissions model

If you’re worried about first day nerves and separation anxiety, Dover Court’s Stay and Play sessions could be just what you need. Kicking off in October 2025, this unique admission model is designed as a gentle introduction for prospective students and families. It’s not just an opportunity for you and your child to see if Dover Court is the right fit, it’s also a chance for its teachers to get to know your child on a deeper level. This approach gives your child the advantage of having their learning journey personalised from the very beginning.
