The lovely Tanglin Arts Studio has just moved to a new and improved location, and we can't wait for our kids to lace up their dancing shoes and try it out!
Dance studios in Singapore have popped up all over our little island in the last few years, and we’re chuffed about the love for this sport! We here at Honeykids love to dance, and watch our little ones slay the stage in adorable little costumes. We’re especially thrilled to hear that Tanglin Arts Studio, one of our favourite dance schools in Singapore for children, has a brand new location at the Hollandse Club! Read on for why we absolutely cannot wait to pop by with the kids (or try out a few pirouettes ourselves at their adult classes).

New digs with lots to do
First and foremost, we’ve got to talk about the exciting new location that is now Tanglin Arts Studio’s main branch. It’s just become part of the Hollandse Club, an international family club situated in the serene surrounds of Bukit Timah. Not to worry if you’re not a club member – you and your kids can still join the studio as a student and get groovin’! Parents waiting for kids to finish classes can enjoy a coffee, lunch or dinner at the club’s terrace. There’s also a playground and swimming pool (reserved for club members’ kids) on the grounds, so impatient siblings are free to hang out and have a blast!
A glamorous makeover
Along with the new location comes a facelift for its studios as well! Located inside the Club House, both of Tanglin Arts Studio’s climate controlled studios feature a premium imported sprung floor from Show Works (which also supplies dance floors and equipment for the Australian Ballet and other major dance companies). Room America/America Room is a whooping 1100 feet studio, with a Tarkett (the bee’s knees of dance floors) floor that’s perfect for all kinds of dance styles. Its other studio, Room Australia/Australia Room, boasts a Tarkett Granit acoustic floor that makes for a great tap sound. Time to get those jazz hands up in the air!
Teachers who love what they do
Ultimately, what we’ve always appreciated about Tanglin Arts Studio – even before its big move – has been its amazingly inclusive community. It welcomes students from all nationalities and they can cater to aspiring dancers with disabilities. Everyone is treated with the utmost warmth and respect. Teachers are also incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and – most importantly – patient when instructing your little ones! We’re guessing this is because Tanglin Arts Studio upholds such great values, with a focus on fun, a team mindset, support, and character. They make things fun even during technical training and exams, and foster a team mentality where bullying is despised. It’s all about supporting each other and building character – students are free to be themselves no matter what. Which is what dance is all about, isn’t it?
