An enchanted party that showcases CIS’ unique approach to early childhood education
Purposeful play is the focus of CIS’ Kindergarten programme. Play time is never just about fun and games in this school; it’s also an opportunity for kids to explore and discover new knowledge. You’ll get to see this in action during the Enchanted Garden Party through a range of family-friendly activities designed by the school’s educators. Here’s what you can expect:
Maths and science at Betty the Butterfly’s Mud Kitchen
What’s cookin’ in the mud kitchen? Your little ones can pick up maths and science concepts – like learning how to measure mud and the difference between liquid and solid states – at Betty the Butterfly’s Mud Kitchen. Plus, it’s just one of the rare chances they get to engage in some barefoot and messy play!
Natural world wonders at Gertie the Grasshopper’s Eco Garden
Pay a visit to Gertie the Grasshopper’s Eco Garden to see what she’s growing there. This is a chance for kids to learn something about the natural world we live in through the herbs and vegetables grown in the school’s little garden.
Languages at the Story Corner
Travel to faraway lands as CIS’ storytellers bring beloved children’s favourites to life. Stories will also be read in the different languages that are taught in the school, making storytime a great occasion to learn about languages and cultures.
Motor skills at Charlie the Caterpillar’s Obstacle Course
Your child can have a taste of CIS’ Physical Education programme at this obstacle course. The school believes in enriching children’s minds and bodies, as staying active is also important to living a healthy lifestyle. So come prepared because Charlie the Caterpillar has tunnels, hills, and bike tracks ready for you!
Creativity at Aaron the Ant’s Arts Station
Imagination rules at Aaron the Ant’s glass arts pod. Kids can let their creative juices flow as they make their own insect crown or ice sculpture. We can’t think of a better way to learn more about CIS’ arts programme than this!
Don’t forget to take a tour of the Kindergarten Wing and Outdoor Discovery Centre
The obstacle course, glass arts pod, mud kitchen, and Eco Garden aren’t the only exciting new facilities at CIS’ Kindergarten Wing. While you’re at the Enchanted Garden Party, take the chance to check out the other amazing facilities, including the 2,600-square-metre Outdoor Discovery Centre. There’s also an instructional bakery, junior gym, indoor swimming pool, black box theatre, and more! Parents may seize the opportunity to speak to the school’s principal and teachers during the party as well.
The Kindergarten Wing and Outdoor Discovery Centre are designed to provide students with opportunities to learn through purposeful play both indoors and outdoors. CIS Primary Principal, Dr. Colleen Drisner, says, “We believe in providing opportunities for students to learn through purposeful play both in the classroom and outdoors, so they can develop not only imagination and empathy, but also their language and social skills.”
