Here at HoneyKids, we believe that you can indeed judge a book by its cover! We’ve always struggled to find stylish baby memory books to record our baby’s milestones here in Singapore. Having survived difficult pregnancies, life with two under two, weird cravings and kiasu parenting woes, we’re now watching first steps, hearing first words and wanting to jot it all down before we forget!

2. Ruby Love Baby Book
From Sweden, we move over to our friends in L.A. who bring us Ruby Love – the most gorgeous and stylish selection of baby memory books in an array of colours and patterns (old world aeroplanes, daisies and chevron to name a few)! These fun canvas-covered treats include cute scrapbook stickers and a space for the family tree, clips from the news on the day baby was born, baby shower photos and more. Very sweet.

3. My Little – Minimalist Baby Books for Modern Parents
This gorgeous little Etsy find comes from Australia in its own cute cotton drawstring bag. The book itself comes in either black or white linen-covered board with simple black-and-white graphics on the inside pages. There’s less emphasis on the cute, and more on the stylish. The perfect baby-shower gift (along with the matching milestone cards!) that will last the test of time on the family bookshelf forever and a day.

4. Mushybooks – Modern Baby Books
Their motto is: “Don’t let ugly baby books happen to cute babies”! And cute they are. Get all mushy when you check out the pared-back design options this Canadian company has to offer. The books are handmade and include variations for adoptions and rainbow families. These books have all the usual milestone recording pages with ample room on the full-size pages, free from too many distracting graphics.

5. Laikonik Once A Year Book
Order multiple copies of this little treasure (pictured up top) as you’ll want one for yourselves, for your children when they grow up and for the grandparents – it is gorgeously simple, modern and stylish. Chose from a selection of fabric and even timber covers: this also makes for a wonderfully stylish baby shower gift. This is a great one, especially if you’re on to baby number two, three or four (you crazy lady!) as all you need is one photo per year. It’s as simple as that – and sometimes that’s all we can manage!

1. Project Life by Becky Higgins on iTunes
Allows you to upload photos directly from your phone into a selection of templates, which you can choose to print. Great for all life’s memories, not just the baby (fur baby, anyone?)

2. Day One Calendar App
This is more of an online journal for iPhone, iPad or Macbook. It’s easy to quickly enter your thoughts and memories and have them synced and backed up in the Cloud. Day One is well designed and encourages you to record your thoughts in writing and with images.

3. Chatbooks
Once you’ve set up this app, it’ll do the work for you by organising daily shots into books that will print automatically (with an option to edit before they print) regularly. It’s a great gift idea for the grandparents too! The YouTube promo is hilarious and will have you signing up for this cool memory book service asap!
